Riley Keough Aims to Create a 'Meaningful' Christmas for Sisters Following Lisa Marie Presley's Passing: Insider

Riley Keough endeavors to create a heartfelt and memorable Christmas for her twin sisters, Finley and Harper, following the tragic passing of their mother, Lisa Marie Presley

Riley Keough is aiming to create a "special" Christmas for her younger sisters Finley and Harper after the passing of their mother, Lisa Marie Presley, earlier this year. "They're planning to spend Christmas in Hawaii," a source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of We. The source also notes that Keough, 34, has been forming a stronger bond with her 15-year-old twin sisters following their mother's death.

When Lisa Marie was alive, Riley wasn’t able to spend as much time with the twins because of the strained relationship between Lisa Marie and their father, Michael Lockwood. But he sees what a good influence Riley is and is very supportive.

Lisa Marie, the daughter of the late Elvis Presley and his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, died in January at age 54 due to a cardiac arrest caused by a small bowel obstruction following gastric bypass surgery. She is survived by her mother Priscilla, 78, and her children. Lisa Marie shared Keough and son Benjamin Keough with ex-husband Danny Keough. She also shared Finley and Harper, 15, with ex-husband Lockwood, 62. (Benjamin passed away by suicide at age 27 in 2020.)

In September, another source informed Us that the twins were deepening their family connection after their mother's passing away.

"The twins are spending more time with Riley and Priscilla on weekends," the source revealed at that time. "They have always been close, but when Lisa Marie passed away, their father Michael started caring for the twins full-time because they needed time to adjust."

The source continued by revealing that Keough has now assumed a nurturing role with her younger sisters, especially after the birth of her own child. (Keough and husband Ben Smith-Petersen welcomed their daughter, Tupelo Storm, through a surrogate in 2022.)

Riley Keough, who has also experienced similar difficulties, is helping Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood. According to the same source, Riley has recently treated them to Taylor Swift tickets and taken them on a shopping spree.

Keough has participated in "grief therapy" while the twins have attended "counseling," according to sources. The insider added that spending more time with Riley has been beneficial for them. Despite the close relationship Keough has with the twins, there were still family disagreements after Lisa Marie’s death, including legal battles over her trust. Priscilla filed to contest the will, which named her eldest daughter as the sole trustee.
