John Stamos made a claim in his forthcoming memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, that his ex-girlfriend Teri Copley had cheated on him with fellow heartthrob Tony Danza during their time together in the 1980s. However, Copley has denied these allegations. Stamos, who is now 60 years old, shared this alleged incident in an excerpt from his memoir published by Entertainment Weekly. In the excerpt, he expressed his deep affection for Copley and pondered the possibility of finding love again in the future.

After being in a relationship for about a year, Stamos faced difficulties in contacting Copley, who is now 62, while he was traveling. Consequently, he made the decision to visit her residence and discovered a black 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster parked in the driveway.

Stamos described the guesthouse on the property as having closed blinds with a slightly opened door. Curiosity led him to take a quick look inside, where he spotted four feet sticking out from underneath a worn yet stylish duvet with a floral print. It was a scene where Copley, affectionately referred to as "My Tiny Dancer," was in bed with Mr. Porsche Speedster.

Initially, Stamos was unaware of the man's identity, however, he eventually discovered that it was Danza, who is now 72 years old. This realization came about when Copley inscribed a poster for Stamos, expressing her enduring affection with the heartfelt words, "My Dear Tony, I’ll love you forever. XO, Teri."

Danza has yet to make a public statement about the alleged incident, but Copley implied that the hookup did occur and was not considered cheating. In an interview with People published on October 23, she expressed her confusion over seeing John at the event since they had already broken up. She recalled his reaction, saying, "He just looked at me, shook his head, and walked away."

Stamos, on the other hand, described the experience as "awful." He emphasized that he attributed Full House's early success and consistent viewership to Danza's show, Who's the Boss?, which served as the lead-in for Full House during its initial years.

"I can't quite articulate it, but I would've preferred getting punched in the nose once more or something similar because the pain was incredibly intense," Stamos told People. "In retrospect, it's clear that perhaps she wasn't the right woman for me. So, encountering him and realizing it was him, it was challenging."

Following his divorce from Rebecca Romijn in 2005, Stamos went on to marry Caitlin McHugh in 2018. Stamos, 57, and McHugh, 37, are parents to a son named Billy, who is 5 years old.
