Dr. Paul Nassif remains optimistic about the reconciliation of his friends Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky after their surprising separation. Nassif, 61, shared exclusively with We while promoting the new season of Botched that he has known them for a long time, especially since the early days of Housewives. Besides Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd, Nassif believes they have a solid and enduring marriage. He is confident that whatever challenges they are currently facing, their strong bond, their children, and their family will help them resolve their issues and continue their relationship. Nassif firmly believes that their relationship will not come to an end.
Nassif admitted he was unaware of the difficulties Richards and Umansky were facing in their marriage. However, once news of their separation became public, he reached out to Richards to offer his support. Nassif and Richards became friends while both appearing on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, alongside Nassif's ex-wife, Adrienne Maloof.
In July, it was confirmed by Us that Richards and Umansky had decided to end their 27-year marriage, although they had not filed for divorce. Shortly after the news broke, the couple released a statement on Instagram explaining that they had encountered challenges within their relationship over the past year. They emphasized that neither party was at fault for the separation.
I reached out to Kyle, letting her know that I'm here for her if she needs anything. It's because I truly care for both of them," he shared with Us. "She was extremely grateful and thanked me, just like she always does by calling me 'Buttercup,' a nickname she used to use when we were on Housewives together."
Nassif, on the other hand, has not had the opportunity to catch up with Umansky. Both individuals have been preoccupied with their personal and professional obligations. The plastic surgeon has resumed his work in the operating room, preparing for the eighth season premiere of the E! show Botched, alongside Dr. Terry DuBrow, on Thursday, August 3rd.
