New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave arrested for reckless driving in Kenner, Louisiana, according to police

New Orleans Saints wide receiver, Chris Olave, was arrested in Kenner, Louisiana on Monday on the charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, as confirmed by a spokesperson from the Kenner Police Department.

Reports state that Olave, aged 23, was driving at a speed of 70 miles per hour in a 35-miles-per-hour zone at 9:10 p.m. local time in Kenner. He was subsequently released from Kenner's city jail at 11:30 p.m. local time.

CNN reached out to the Saints on Tuesday to seek a comment but received no immediate response.

Olave, who played at Ohio State, is currently in his second NFL season with the Saints. He was chosen as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

He is the Saints leading receiver this season with 39 receptions for 471 yards and has scored one touchdown.

The Saints will be on the road Sunday to face the Indianapolis Colts.
