Less than two months after mourning the tragic loss of their daughter Arrayah, Shaquil Barrett and his wife Jordanna are now expecting another baby.

"After a few weeks of our sweet girl's passing, Shaquil and I discovered that we were pregnant again! I believe that Arrayah played a special role in choosing this sweet girl to join our family," wrote Jordanna, 30, on her Instagram account on Friday, June 30. "We feel incredibly fortunate and grateful that God has blessed us with another precious daughter!"

She continued, expressing her constant longing for her daughter Arrayah, but finding solace in the belief that Arrayah will be a guardian angel and the best big sister to little Allanah. Arrayah has brought hope and positively impacted many lives during her short two years on Earth. These experiences have reinforced her faith in God's mysterious ways and His ability to transform even the most challenging circumstances into something good. She will trust in Him during the most difficult times and offer praise for all the good that comes their way. Recognizing that God's plans surpass her own, she remains confident in His guidance.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker, who is 30 years old, and his wife, who already have three older children, have disclosed that their forthcoming child will be named Allanah Ray. Jordanna's due date is in February 2024.

In April, it was reported that 2-year-old Arrayah tragically lost her life due to a drowning incident in her family's swimming pool.

The Buccaneers family expressed their deep sorrow upon hearing this devastating news. A statement on the Bucs official Twitter page conveyed their heartfelt condolences and prayers for Shaq, Jordanna, and the entire Barrett family during this extremely challenging period. Recognizing the profound loss of their beloved Arrayah, they offered their unwavering support and love, knowing that no words can truly ease the pain in such a situation.

A police report obtained by the Associated Press stated that Arrayah's death was a tragic incident that occurred purely by accident.

Less than a week later, Jordanna finally spoke out about the loss of her daughter. On May 3, she shared her feelings on Instagram, expressing, "Our world will never be the same. Arrayah was the most cherished person in my life, and my heart will always be connected to hers... Until we reunite, please watch over your siblings and mommy and daddy. We will love you eternally. I can't wait to see that beautiful smile again and hold you tightly. I would do anything for you. Without you, our family is incomplete, and we will preserve your memory until we are all together again in heaven. I love you now and forever."

Several weeks later, Jordanna honored the memory of the deceased toddler by getting a tattoo on her wrist. The tattoo featured angel wings and a halo. Shaquil and Jordanna, who were once high school sweethearts, tied the knot in February 2012. Following their wedding, they joyfully welcomed four children: Shaquil Jr., Braylon, Aaliyah, and Arrayah. Baby Allanah will soon become their fifth addition to the family.
