Shannen Doherty playfully blamed her ex-fiancé, Rob Weiss, for her marriage to former husband Kurt Iswarienko.
Doherty, 53, reminisced about a conversation with Weiss before tying the knot with Iswarienko, 49. Weiss recalled, "Something had happened and you were like, 'He went home to his parents in Florida.' I think I was like, 'You know, Shannen, why don’t you just chill out. Get married and maybe just don’t create a whole issue for once.' I was like, 'Why don’t you just chill out and roll with it?' I don’t remember exactly."
Doherty playfully said, "So it's all your fault. Got it, that's where I'm heading with this."
Doherty and Weiss got engaged in 1995 after dating for a year. However, they ended their relationship for good in 1998. Later on, she married Iswarienko in October 2011.
In April 2023, it was reported that Doherty had filed for divorce from Iswarienko after being married for 11 years. According to her representative, Leslie Sloane, Shannen did not want a divorce but felt like she had no choice.
In December 2023, during one of her podcast episodes, Doherty shared that she had to undergo brain surgery after learning about Iswarienko's alleged infidelity.

She claimed that she went into the surgery early in the morning, right after discovering that her marriage was essentially over due to her husband's two-year affair. She felt too betrayed to have him there with her, even though he wanted to be present during the surgery.
Doherty was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and successfully went into remission after undergoing two years of chemotherapy. However, in 2020, her cancer returned at stage IV. By November 2023, she revealed that the cancer had spread to her bones.
Doherty has spoken openly about the ending of her third marriage, describing it as "embarrassing." She was previously married to Ashley Hamilton for a year in 1994 and Rick Salomon from 2002 to 2003.
During a podcast episode in December 2023, she shared, "I am horrified that I can’t keep a relationship together. I think it is a reflection of me, but this one I think this one is on him. I’ve failed three times at marriage, but I still believe in love."
"I do take responsibility for some of the issues in our marriage. It's not entirely my fault, but I acknowledge my part in it. I take responsibility not just for my actions, but also for how cancer affected our relationship and how it affected him when it came back."
