Shania Twain understands that one of the perks of being a woman is the freedom to enjoy yourself, even if it means laughing at yourself when you make a mistake on stage.

The 58-year-old country music sensation took to social media on Sunday, June 2nd, to share a humorous moment from her recent Las Vegas concert. During her performance of the hit song “(If You’re Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here!” Twain accidentally sang into a sparkly pink drumstick prop instead of the microphone. Despite the mishap, she laughed it off, exclaiming, “Oh my god, that was hilarious!” before carrying on with the song.

When a concertgoer recorded the mistake on video and shared it on Instagram, Twain embraced the humor by commenting, "️️️," before reposting it on her own social media page. She added the caption, "I'm really happy someone caught this moment, it's making me laugh all over again."

Fans quickly flooded Twain's comments section with praise for her ability to laugh off the mistake. One fan wrote, "Still so beautiful and talented. Glad you're still having fun and enjoying what you do!" Another fan added, "The way you smoothly carried on from this is incredible and completely in the moment ️️️️."

Some fans took the chance to dispel any rumors about Twain not singing live at her shows. "Proof she isn't lip syncing," one person pointed out. Another fan agreed, saying, "That shows she is really singing live."

Twain is currently performing at her Planet Hollywood residency, Come On Over – The Las Vegas Residency – All The Hits!, which started earlier this month.

Twain expressed her excitement during an interview on CBS Mornings in April 2023, calling it a very special time for her. She shared her happiness about being back on stage, loving life, sharing her new music, and feeling truly content. Twain mentioned her hope to bring inspiration and positivity to her audience.

This residency, titled Come on Over, is Twain's third time performing in Vegas. Her first residency was at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from 2012 to 2014, followed by her second residency, Let's Go!, at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from December 2019 to June 2020. While her previous shows featured lesser-known songs, Come on Over focuses on her biggest hits, especially those from her 1997 album like "Man! I Feel Like a Woman," "From This Moment On," "You're Still the One," and "That Don't Impress Me Much."

The country singer faced health issues that made her uncertain about her music career. It took seven years for doctors to discover that nerve damage to her vocal cords was caused by Lyme disease. She recalled getting bit by a Lyme tick while horseback riding in the forest.

After undergoing open-throat surgery for dysphonia, Shania Twain is now back in the music scene and feeling great. In a recent interview with We, she described this comeback as the "second wave" of her career.

Throughout my career, I have experienced both highs and lows, but my fans have always supported me and I have always had faith in myself. I never forget to appreciate what I have.

Now, my focus is on enjoying myself and having a great time, even when things don't go as expected.

“I was really able to come up with some new fun ideas while touring,” she told Us. “I just want to throw a huge party and get everyone dancing together.”
