Shakira and NBA Star Jimmy Butler: The Truth Behind their London Outing

Following her recent split from Gerard Piqué, Shakira is fueling dating rumors by being seen with NBA star Jimmy Butler. The 46-year-old singer and the 33-year-old Miami Heat player were spotted arriving at the popular Novikov Restaurant & Bar in London on July 12th. Butler sported a charcoal gray tee and black athleisure pants, along with striking jewelry and a red bandana for added flair. Shakira paired navy cargo pants with black platform sandals and added a touch of vibrancy to her outfit with a hot pink lip. She also sported her honey-blonde hair in long, flowing waves.

Shakira and Butler have been seen together several times in recent months during their outing in England. Shakira, along with her sons Milan and Sasha, moved to Miami after separating from Piqué. In May, she attended a Heat game and showed her support for the team through a selfie video. She also shared a video of herself singing and playing the guitar on Instagram, which caught Butler's attention. This potential new romance for Shakira comes almost a year after her split from Piqué, whom she was together with for 12 years but never got married to.

“Discussing this topic personally is truly challenging, particularly since it is my initial acknowledgment of this situation during an interview,” Shakira revealed to Elle in September 2022, only three months following the public confirmation of her separation from Piqué. “I have chosen to maintain silence and process everything internally...It is difficult to verbalize, notably because I am still experiencing it, and due to my prominent status in the public eye, our separation diverges from the norm.”

At the time, she added that the breakup was “tough” and “incredibly difficult” for the pair’s children.

"I have made every effort to shield my children from the situation. Protecting them is my top priority in life," she expressed. "However, they inevitably come across information at school or online that can deeply impact them."

In August 2022, Piqué gained media attention after engaging in public displays of affection with Clara Chía, who is over 10 years younger, at a concert in Spain. The couple subsequently publicly announced their relationship on Instagram.

Prior to her evening with Butler, Shakira was seen socializing with Tom Cruise at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix in May. Nonetheless, an insider shared exclusively with Us that although Shakira immensely enjoyed spending time with Tom, she is not interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with him.

The source further revealed, "Currently, she is not prioritizing dating him or anyone else. Shakira has a multitude of responsibilities to handle, such as caring for her children and advancing her career."
