Shakira made a cryptic style statement at the Viktor & Rolf show during Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris on Wednesday, July 5.
Shakira, the famous singer of "Hips Don't Lie," captivated everyone's attention at the presentation in a stunning manner. She showcased a sleek white coat adorned with enormous three-dimensional letters spelling out "NO." Originally seen in Viktor & Rolf's fall/winter 2008 collection, the coat boasted intricate gold metal and white crystal embellishments. Completing her ensemble, Shakira sported metallic platform sandal heels and carried a dazzling top handle bag. She added a touch of glamour with oversized sunglasses and wore her hair impeccably straight.
At the show, the artist of "Whenever, Wherever" caught everyone's attention with her gesture of shaking her head and silently mouthing "No" while photographers captured the moment. Following the event, Shakira shared highlights from the show on Instagram on Wednesday, which led her fans to speculate and praise the symbolic meaning conveyed through her choice of outfits.

"One fan proposed listening to Shakira's powerful anthem 'No' as a possible response to her ex Gerard Piqué," another social media user suggested.
Shakira recently revealed her feelings of betrayal regarding her split with Piqué. Amidst dealing with her father's hospitalization, she expressed her sadness at the assumption of Piqué's infidelity. According to Shakira, her father had traveled to Barcelona to comfort her during this difficult time, but tragically, he was injured in an accident during her son Milan's first communion. It was a lot for her to handle all at once, with her personal life falling apart and the press revealing the supposed betrayal while her father was in critical condition in the ICU.
In June 2022, news emerged about the artist known as "She Wolf" discovering her then-partner engaged in an extramarital relationship. Although they remained silent about the allegations initially, they eventually acknowledged their split later that month.
In a jointly released statement, Shakira and Piqué expressed their regret over the separation. They emphasized the importance of prioritizing the well-being of their children and appealed for privacy, requesting understanding from the public. The former couple are parents to two sons, Milan (9) and Sasha (7).
Piqué has moved on with Clara Chia Marti, while Shakira has shifted her focus to her children. In September 2022, just one month after her ex was spotted kissing the model, Shakira publicly declared her commitment to her kids.
"It has been a challenging period, not only for me but also for my children," she shared with Elle magazine. "Extremely difficult... I have tried to shield my children from the situation. Protecting them is my top priority in life. However, they inevitably hear things from their friends at school or come across unpleasant news online, and it deeply affects them."
