Shakira’s hips didn’t lie while attending the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards.
Shakira, the singer known for her hit "Whenever, Wherever," made a stunning appearance at the ceremony on Thursday, November 16. She confidently walked the red carpet in a bold Harris Reed gown. The eye-catching black and gold dress featured a corset top and a long flowing skirt with a high slit, showcasing her hips and legs. Completing her ensemble were platform gold heels and soft waves in her hair.
Accompanying Shakira at the awards show were her sons Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8. The boys looked sharp in their all-white outfits, adding to the excitement of the special evening. Shakira shares her children with her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, with whom she was in a relationship for over a decade before their separation in 2022.
The 24th annual Latin Grammys took place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre in Sevilla, Spain. Shakira received seven nominations and won the awards for song of the year and best pop song, along with Bizarrap, for their track "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53." Shakira also graced the stage with her performance of "Acróstico," a heartfelt song that serves as an open letter to her sons. Accompanied by a piano, a touching video played showcasing Milan and Sasha, who were present in the audience, singing along to the lyrics.
During Thursday's ceremony, Shakira once again highlighted her love for her children, a special occurrence that she had previously done at the MTV VMAs in September while receiving the Vanguard Award. In her gracious acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude to her parents and specifically mentioned her sons, Milan and Sasha, who were in attendance. She warmly thanked them for their support and emphasized how they uplifted her spirits and made her believe that she could accomplish anything as a mother.

Shakira and Piqué, aged 36, had their children named Milan and Sasha in 2013 and 2015, respectively. However, their relationship ended in June 2022. Approximately a year later, the renowned artist behind "Hips Don't Lie" implied to People en Español that Piqué had been unfaithful. She disclosed feeling "betrayed" by her ex-partner during a challenging time when her father was hospitalized after experiencing a fall.
Shakira reached her lowest point when she discovered Gerard had cheated on her while her father was in the ICU. Despite not knowing how, she managed to overcome this hardship.
Although she has been romantically linked to NBA star Jimmy Butler lately, and Piqué has moved on with his girlfriend Clara Chia, according to our source, their relationship after the breakup is currently characterized as "lacking enthusiasm."
Both sides have been exchanging verbal attacks, with the source revealing that any communication between them revolves solely around their children. Shakira, however, is not yet willing to establish a friendship. After a heated custody battle, Shakira received permission in November 2022 to move from Spain, where Piqué lives, to Florida with her sons.
"In April, via Instagram, she expressed her excitement for embarking on a fresh and promising journey towards happiness. She extended her gratitude to all those who have accompanied her through the ups and downs, emphasizing the significance of friendships that have proven to be enduring, surpassing the ephemeral nature of romantic love."
