Selena Gomez is thrilled since going public with her relationship with Benny Blanco, and her family fully supports their romance.
According to an exclusive source, "Selena hasn't been this happy with anyone she's dated in a long time. She and Benny are genuinely in love, and despite keeping her previous relationships low-key, she was excited to share their love with the world."
The insider mentioned that Selena's family fully supports her relationship and is delighted to see her so happy and in love. At 31, Gomez confirmed her relationship with the 35-year-old music producer earlier this month through a series of now-deleted Instagram comments.
On December 8, the actress expressed her love, saying, "He means everything to me. He has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. The end. ... He's still better than anyone I've been with. Facts." Gomez also shared affectionate photos of the couple on her Instagram Story, featuring her wearing a "B" ring, presumably representing Blanco's first initial.
According to an insider, she is proud to be with him, and he feels the same. The couple is adorable, and things are going incredibly well for both of them. Gomez and Blanco have been in each other's lives since 2015, working together on various songs, including "Same Old Love," "Kill Em With Kindness," "I Can't "Get Enough," and her most recent release, "Single Soon," which came out in August.
Blanco has not publicly discussed their new relationship, but Gomez mentioned on Instagram earlier this month that they have been dating for six months.
"A second source said in the latest issue of We that she is fully committed and eager to express her love openly," said one source. "Selena says he treats her like a princess and she is completely smitten."
Before her relationship with Blanco, Gomez had been romantically linked to celebrities such as Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd. In January, Us Magazine reported that Gomez was romantically involved with Drew Taggert of The Chainsmokers. However, their casual relationship ended by March.
Gomez has openly discussed the challenges of finding love while under the public eye.

She expressed her thoughts on the matter to Apple Music's Beats 1 in January 2020, stating, "If I can be honest, it is just so cliché. Everyone dates everyone. It always seems to be within a little bubble and it's because it's safe, right? You're wanting someone to understand what you're going through. You're almost wanting a counterpart of creativity as well and it's, you know, interesting and fun."
