Selena Gomez has debuted a new lighter hair color, and she looks as stunning as ever.
The 31-year-old singer and actress shared her weekend fashion on her Instagram Story on Sunday, November 26, showcasing a stylish black tweed blazer with a delicate silver trim.
Gomez chose a smokey eye and pastel pink lip for a glamorous look, with her hair styled in loose waves. Although she is known for her brunette hair, she has also experimented with blonde highlights and even platinum hair over the years.
“Since this was Selena’s first significant hair color change, it was crucial for us to maintain the health of her hair and find the right tone for her skin,” stated colorist Nikki Lee in an exclusive interview with We in November 2017. “The overall vibe is 90’s chic and she chose to name the color #NirvanaBlonde.”
Selena Gomez shared on her Instagram, "Now that I'm blonde, it's crucial to keep my hair moisturized, strong, and healthy." Her hairstylist, Lee, recommended Pantene's Radiant Color Shine 3 Minute Miracle Daily Conditioner for added moisture, keeping her creamy blonde roots healthy. With this product, Selena can confidently rock her fresh new look for the New Year.
In 2021, Gomez went back to being blonde and thoroughly enjoyed the change. "I feel like I have more fun with my hair when it's blonde," she shared with Vogue in a YouTube video from September 2021 after returning to her natural hair color. "I felt like I could experiment with my hair and makeup and try out new looks. It was just so enjoyable."
Gomez confessed that maintaining her light locks was challenging at first, but she was thrilled with the final look. She felt confident and stylish, and even admitted to missing her blonde hair. She reassured fans that Blonde Selena may make a comeback in the future.
Ever since she rose to fame on Disney Channel, Gomez has been a fashion icon, often seen in skinny jeans, long tank tops, and Converse sneakers. As she transitioned from her Disney days, she has embraced couture fashion and frequently dazzles in impeccably tailored gowns.

Gomez’s style sense even impacted how her Only Murders in the Building character, Mabel Mora, dressed in the Hulu series.
Costume designer Dana Covarrubias explained to Us in September that she avoids dressing Selena in glamorous outfits for her character in OMITB, as Selena's personal style is more focused on comfort. Covarrubias noted that there are times when Selena will feel that a particular outfit is more representative of her own style rather than that of her character, Mabel.
