Selena Gomez did not engage in gossip about Kylie Jenner or Timothée Chalamet at the Golden Globes, despite fan speculation. According to a source, Selena did not speak with either of them at the event and there was no drama. Additionally, she did not request to take a photo with Chalamet.

According to the insider, Gomez never crossed paths with the couple, despite reports from multiple sources like People, E! News, and Entertainment Tonight.

Gomez created a buzz during the Golden Globes on Sunday with a viral video of her chatting with Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller. Viewers were eager to decipher what Gomez was saying as she huddled with her friends at the table, with some even attempting to read her lips.

One fan on X (formerly Twitter) speculated that "I asked for a picture with him and she (Kylie Jenner) said no" was said by Selena Gomez. A separate angle captured Teller's response, where she appeared to ask, "With Timothée?" to which Gomez nodded in response.

Neither Gomez nor Jenner has publicly commented on the nature of the conversation or what really happened between them. They have been friends on and off for years, and Gomez's younger sister, Gracie, has become best friends with Jenner's sister Kim Kardashian's eldest daughter, North.

Gomez attended the Golden Globes to support her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building, which received five nominations. She was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for her role as Mabel Mora, but lost to Ayo Edebiri for her role in The Bear.

In the meantime, Jenner decided to skip the Golden Globes red carpet and was seen inside the venue with her boyfriend Chalamet, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in Wonka. However, he ultimately lost to Paul Giamatti for his role in The Holdovers.

Jenner has been quietly backing Chalamet during the Wonka press tour, as evidenced by her decision to skip the red carpet and their not-so-subtle kisses inside the Golden Globes.
