According to fellow cast member Nick Viall, Tom Sandoval reportedly smuggled illicit photos of Raquel Leviss to Special Forces after their scandalous affair. During an episode of his podcast, "Viall Files," Nick, 42, revealed that Tom showed the pictures to the rest of the cast, although it is unclear what significance this holds.
Nick observed that certain items are forbidden for Special Forces competitors to have during their training. He expressed his desire to secretly bring a picture of his fiancée, Natalie Joy, and himself but ultimately decided against it. However, he noted that another contestant, Sandoval, made an effort to bring in sentimental photos of himself and Raquel/Rachel to share with the group.
According to Nick, Sandoval seemed genuinely concerned about Raquel/Rachel, and he stated this objectively. The conversations with the rest of the cast gave off a vibe of uncertainty about whether the public would accept their relationship, but Nick believed that Sandoval genuinely had feelings for Rachel and cared about her.
Sandoval, aged 41, and Raquel, aged 28, initiated their romantic involvement in August 2022 while he was still in a relationship with Ariana Madix, aged 38. After engaging in a clandestine relationship for a period of seven months, Ariana discovered the truth in March and decided to end her nine-year partnership with Sandoval. The repercussions of this scandalous revelation were captured and documented for a sensational season finale of Vanderpump Rules, which was broadcasted in May.
Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss, pictured on Shutterstock (2), have been estranged from their Vanderpump Rules castmates ever since news of the affair scandal emerged. Their relationship has been put on hold and they are currently not on good terms with their costars, who are in the midst of filming the eleventh season. It is uncertain whether Raquel will be part of the upcoming Bravo episodes, as production had already begun before her recent stay in a mental health facility.
Apart from shooting Vanderpump Rules season 11, Sandoval has also agreed to participate in the second season of Fox's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, joining renowned figures including Nick, Tyler Cameron, Bode Miller, Blac Chyna, and JoJo Siwa. In a teaser released on Monday, July 31, the TomTom co-founder humorously expressed his desire to face challenges, as he is seen getting a bloody nose in one of the exercises.

During their arrival, it became apparent that Sandoval was initially enthusiastic about participating, as shown in the trailer. However, Nick revealed on Thursday that his co-star appeared "very nervous." "There seemed to be some buzz surrounding him. Some people were familiar with him, while others had heard about him," Nick shared on his podcast. "I have a lot to say, but I'm unsure how much I can reveal. Tom is a fascinating individual, to say the least. He is truly one of a kind."

Nick playfully revealed that he had extensive interactions with Sandoval while they were filming. He shared a specific incident where they were in a Jeep together, constantly being recorded and monitored. Despite their differences, Nick had planned a podcast episode with Tom during this Jeep ride. The purpose of the show was not to hold onto grudges but to foster teamwork and cooperation, disregarding any preconceived judgments about each other. In this unique environment, they were compelled to work together.
