Sean Kingston, aged 34, is heading back to Florida with his mother, Janice Turner, as both of them are dealing with multiple fraud and theft charges.

The arrest took place in Fort Irwin, California, on Thursday, May 23. Kingston was taken into custody there, while his mother was arrested on the same day at a Florida mansion that the star had rented, after a police raid.

The singer of "Beautiful Girls," Sean Kingston, has agreed to waive his right to fight extradition from California to Florida, as reported by The Associated Press on Tuesday, May 28. As of Tuesday afternoon, he remains in a Southern California jail. Arrangements will now be made with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Florida to return him to the state.

According to arrest warrants obtained by the AP, Kingston and his mother Janice, 61, were both arrested on Thursday. They were charged with conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, and identity theft, among other things.

Kisean Anderson, also known as Sean Kingston, was arrested by police in Fort Irwin, CA for allegedly committing fraud and theft totaling over $1 million. The charges include stealing money, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and furniture. Law enforcement stated that Anderson will be booked into jail in San Bernardino, California.

The attorney representing Ver Ver Entertainment, Dennis Card, mentioned that the raid on Kingston's rented home in Florida was a result of a lawsuit filed against the singer in February.

The suit alleges that Kingston did not pay for numerous items he received from the company including a 232-inch TV.

I sued Sean Kingston," Card shared with People. "After reading my lawsuit, a detective from Broward County reached out to me. We provided a recorded statement and an affidavit with my client. We have been waiting for this raid for over two months now.

Card also mentioned to NBC6, "He enjoys flaunting his expensive items and being a show-off. My client has a $150,000 television sound system, around $1 million worth of watches, and an $80,000 custom bed in there. It's a well-planned fraud scheme."

"He continued, “He’s got basically a script, he says that he works with Justin Bieber, and that he obviously puts on a big show here, this is a rental house, he doesn’t own it, and he lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without him paying for it and then he simply never pays.”

Robert Rosenblatt, an attorney for Kingston, told the AP on Friday, May 24, that the singer and his mother were looking forward to addressing the charges in a Florida court and “are confident of a successful resolution.”

We has contacted Kingston’s attorney for further comment.
