What is Scott Pilgrim About?

Scott Pilgrim, a 23-year-old young adult, effortlessly sails through life, being a member of a band, dating a teenager, and switching jobs frequently. He finds contentment in his routine until Ramona Flowers, a bold and enigmatic young woman, enters his world on rollerblades and completely disrupts it. Their journey begins when Ramona informs Scott that he must overcome her seven wicked ex-partners in order to be with her. This marks the start of Scott and Ramona's relationship, which is explored throughout the series of graphic novels. The series garnered three Harvey Awards nominations in 2005 and ultimately clinched the Special Award for Humor in Comics in 2007.

Who Will Be Working on the Anime?

Bryan Lee O'Malley and BenDavid Grabinski will be the writer and executive producer, respectively, of the series. Science SARU will handle the anime, with Abel Góngora leading the project. The studio has previously worked on Devilman: Crybaby, Star Wars: Visions, and Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!.

The creative team behind the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World will also be returning to the franchise. Edgar Wright and Michael Bacall, co-writers of the movie, will serve as executive producers for the anime. Nira Park, Wright's producing partner, along with Marc Platt, Jared Leboff, and Adam Seigel from Marc Platt Productions, will also be executive producers.
