Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams got into the Halloween spirit in advance by donning a Taylor Swift-inspired costume. The couple, aged 32 and 39 respectively, playfully posed at a Sonic Restaurant on Monday, October 16, wearing outfits resembling "Seemingly Ranch" and "Ketchup." Hyland humorously sported a bobbed white wig with bangs and a forest green cap to represent the condiment, while Adams sported a pointed hat shaped like a ketchup lid.
The duo had a delightful time munching on fries, chicken, corndogs, and sipping soft drinks, all while striking poses in their costumes. They even shared a sweet kiss.
Their couple's costume was inspired by a meme that originated from a Swiftie account. The fan had posted a picture of Swift, 33, showing her support for Travis Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September. In the photo, the singer was seen happily posing with fans, enjoying chicken nuggets accompanied by ketchup and ranch through X (formerly known as Twitter). "Taylor Swift was captured savoring a piece of chicken with ketchup, and seemingly ranch!" the account's caption read.
The phrase "seemingly ranch" became popular on social media, with more users joining in on the trend. Hidden Valley Ranch joined the fun by releasing a new recipe called "Chicken Tender & Seemingly Ranch," along with a sweatshirt featuring the phrase on the front and an image of a chicken nugget with ranch and ketchup on the back. Heinz also got in on the action by creating limited edition bottles of Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch. They announced the new products with the caption, "It's a new Era for Heinz. Introducing Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch. Limited-edition bottles coming soon."

The Empire State Building was illuminated in red and white colors in response to the viral meme. The building's official Twitter account humorously tweeted, "I'm feeling hungry now." In addition to this, Hyland and Wells have previously sported other pop culture costumes, such as Gomez and Morticia from The Addams Family, which made them almost unrecognizable.
Hyland rocked a stunning Halloween costume consisting of a hip-length black wig, a flowy gown, and a leather corset cinching her waist. Complementing the ensemble, she wore bold makeup featuring a vibrant red lip and striking black eyeliner.
In comparison, Adams styled his brunette hair by parting it down the middle and slicking it back, imitating the look of the character. He completed his costume with a fake mustache, a striped suit, and a black bowtie.
Hyland captioned the photo as "The Adams Family Official." They exchanged vows in August 2022, following a nearly five-year courtship. Their wedding ceremony unfolded in a scenic California vineyard, and the couple had the privilege of having Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Hyland's former castmate from Modern Family, officiate the union.
