Highlights
The current arc in One Piece, called the Egghead Island Arc, features spectacular fights that fans are eagerly anticipating.
The build-up of Sanji and Kaku's characters in previous arcs adds depth and interest to their potential clash. Despite Kaku being a formidable fighter, it appears improbable that Sanji will engage in combat with him in this particular arc. This is due to Sanji being in good physical condition while Kaku is dealing with severe injuries. It is possible that Sanji will employ his strategic abilities instead of resorting to direct confrontation.
One Piece is currently in the Egghead Island Arc where fans have been treated to spectacular fights. The ongoing Egghead War promises to bring even more massive clashes. In the previous chapter, significant clashes between characters were highlighted. Luffy fought against Kizaru, the Navy Admiral, which is anticipated to be the biggest clash in this arc. Additionally, Zoro battling Lucci is another fight to look forward to. As for Sanji, a notable encounter with Kaku took place in the previous chapter, raising questions about whether they will fight in this arc.
The Build Up For Sanji Vs Kaku
Sanji and Kaku aren't two characters who would be randomly paired together in a fight if it were to occur. In fact, there's a significant buildup in their relationship during the Water Seven Saga. Their paths crossed for the first time as enemies on the Sea Train, Puffing Tom, when Robin was being taken to Enies Lobby. Alongside Franky and Usopp, Sanji attempted to rescue Robin but was unsuccessful due to her resistance. This attracted the attention of CP9, who decided to take Robin back. However, before that happened, Sanji had a clash with Blueno and was able to break through his Tekkai using his powerful Concasser.
Kaku immediately noticed this and warned others not to underestimate Sanji, even though he didn't have a bounty. Kaku recognized Sanji's worthiness and understood that he shouldn't be underestimated. Later on, during the search for keys to unlock Robin's cuffs, Sanji intervened and defeated Jabra after Zoro and Usopp struggled. Once again, Kaku couldn't help but notice Sanji's remarkable presence.
Is Kaku A Worthy Opponent For Sanji?
Kaku is undeniably a formidable fighter, as fans have witnessed time and time again. During the Enies Lobby arc, he engaged in a commendable battle against Zoro, pushing the swordsman to his limits despite being relatively new to his Devil Fruit abilities. This forced Zoro to grow and surpass his own boundaries in order to secure victory. Presently, Kaku has further evolved as a fighter, showcasing remarkable mastery over Haki. Notably, his control over this skill has tremendously developed over the years, as demonstrated in his previous showdown with Zoro.
Additionally, Kaku has achieved even greater strength through awakening his Devil Fruit. Admired by fans for his rapid progress, his awakened abilities elevate him to a fearsome opponent for anyone daring to confront him. His power level is undoubtedly comparable to that of a Yonko Commander, yet his exact ranking remains a mystery, especially considering he has not been observed engaging in battles as extensively as Lucci on Egghead.
Will Sanji Fight Kaku?
In the previous chapter of One Piece, fans witnessed an intriguing encounter between Sanji and Kaku. Immediately after Lucci assaulted Stussy, Sanji cleverly seized the Bubble Gun from Lilith, effectively trapping Kaku within its confines. Consequently, Kaku's participation in the ongoing battle became nullified. Due to the bubble's emission of the same frequency as the ocean, Devil Fruit users are rendered powerless against it. As a result, Kaku finds himself relegated to a mere bystander in the fight. Nevertheless, there remains a reasonable chance for him to escape the bubble at a later point in this storyline.
However, a major obstacle lies in the fact that Kaku is currently suffering from severe injuries. He acknowledged having engaged in a confrontation with the Seraphims, resulting in life-threatening wounds. Chopper expertly tended to his injuries, carefully bandaging him and providing an opportunity for rest. Conversely, Sanji stands in a considerably healthier state, fully capable of engaging in intense battles. He has yet to sustain any significant injuries and, should a confrontation between the two arise, Sanji's formidable power and lack of injury would undoubtedly secure him a swift victory. Consequently, the likelihood of a clash between Kaku and Sanji seems quite improbable at this juncture.
How Oda Will Deal With Sanji?
Currently, it appears that Sanji does not have any significant battles to participate in on Egghead. The only formidable opponents present are Kizaru and Lucci, with Luffy currently fighting the former and Zoro taking on the latter. As a result, Sanji's role seems relatively inactive at the moment. However, it is important to note that Sanji possesses exceptional intelligence and tactical skills, making him a valuable asset in terms of battle strategies. It is possible that Sanji may utilize his other abilities in the meantime, potentially aiding the Straw Hat Pirates in their escape from Egghead and ultimately saving their lives. Sanji has a reputation for being a savior, and this role suits him perfectly.
However, this does not necessarily imply that Sanji will not engage in any major fights on Egghead. One notable opponent who has yet to enter the battle is Saturn himself. Considering that Saturn is likely to be stronger than Kizaru, it is expected that Luffy will eventually shift his focus from the Admiral to Saturn. If Lucci is dealt with or occupied by someone else, Sanji and Zoro could potentially team up to confront Kizaru. This would be an extraordinary battle for both characters. For Zoro, it would offer an opportunity for revenge against the Admiral for the mistreatment he endured during the Sabaody arc. Meanwhile, for Sanji, it would be an ideal matchup due to the significant similarities between him and Kizaru. Although Sanji may not currently participate in this combat, there remains a possibility that it may unfold later in the Egghead arc.
