Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Heather Gay revealed that she has tried Ozempic, but she has not experienced the remarkable results she had hoped for. "I've been on the Ozempic train for a long time, but I haven't really seen much results," the 49-year-old shared with People on Wednesday, November 29. "I haven't had massive results, but enough for people to notice, which is great."

Gay expressed that she has noticed a shift in people's behavior towards her since she started losing weight. "It's disheartening to see that people are nicer to you when you lose weight," she remarked. "It's a sad reality of the world, especially for women. But on the bright side, I am happy to have shed five pounds."

Ozempic is a branded drug that contains semaglutide and is used to treat type 2 diabetes. It is an injectable medication that, along with similar drugs like Wegovy and Mounjaro, has gained popularity for its ability to promote weight loss by increasing feelings of fullness.

Gay is among the latest celebrities, including Real Housewives, to publicly discuss their use of Ozempic. In June, Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson credited her recent weight loss to starting Ozempic in December 2022.

"It was a game-changer for my diet, really jump-started me into making healthier food choices because it made everything else taste unappetizing," Simpson, 47, exclusively shared with We in July. She also mentioned that she had stopped taking the medication. "I eliminated a lot of things from my diet and now I hit the gym seven days a week, training like I'm prepping for a fitness competition."

Simpson emphasized that Ozempic wasn't the sole reason for her weight loss, and she doesn't appreciate critics who assume she didn't also make significant changes to her diet and exercise regimen.

She expressed her frustration with people constantly attributing her appearance to the use of Ozempic in a recent interview with Us. "It's disheartening because it undermines the effort I've put into my fitness journey. I don't mind the comments, but I deserve recognition for my hard work - waking up at 6 a.m. every day and working out seven days a week."
