Jessel Taank, a star of Real Housewives of New York City, has openly shared her fertility challenges both on and off camera. She has attributed her courage to speak up to a certain celebrity.

"When I was struggling with fertility, Chrissy Teigen actually helped me get through it. I looked up to her for being very genuine and authentic," Taank shared on iHeartRadio's "Chanel In The City" podcast. "I admired her transparency about her own challenges," she told host and stand-up comedian Chanel Omari. "She's been incredibly open and honest about everything. So, if she inspired me, I hoped to inspire other women as well."

Teigen and John Legend have faced challenges on their journey to parenthood. In October 2015, they announced they were expecting their first child after undergoing IVF treatments. Their daughter Luna was born in April 2016, and son Miles was born in May 2018 through IVF. Tragically, the couple experienced the loss of son Jack at 20 weeks into Teigen's pregnancy two years later.

In February 2022, Teigen revealed that she had restarted IVF treatments and six months later, she announced her pregnancy. In January, she gave birth to daughter Esti and in June, son Wren arrived via surrogate, continuing to expand the family.

As for Taank, she welcomed twin boys, Kai and Rio, in May 2021 with her husband Pavit Randhawa after a lengthy IVF journey. However, after giving birth, she admitted that her sex life with her husband experienced a dry spell.

“I am hopeful that by talking about fertility, I can help people feel more comfortable discussing sexual topics,” Taank shared with host Omari, who previously appeared on Bravo’s Princesses: Long Island. “I want individuals who are parents and may not feel like being intimate with their partner at a certain time to know that it’s okay. These are the real conversations that women encounter every day, and they should not be considered taboo or carry a stigma.”

"She exclaimed, 'Everyone is in disbelief. But hey, there's no need for shame. This is just life, you know.'

Despite rumors swirling about her and her husband getting a divorce, the reality TV newcomer wanted to set the record straight."

“The first episode, all I kept hearing was they’re heading for divorce,” she told Omari. “And I was like, ‘That’s crazy,’ because I really didn’t think I gave off that sort of volatility that people were seeing. But at the same time, I can understand, like, they’re probably not used to seeing those types of open transparent conversations happening.”

Taank added, "It has been a truly eye-opening experience and has definitely brought us closer. Seeing ourselves on TV has helped us identify areas where we can improve, almost like a therapeutic exercise, except everyone is along for the ride, making comments about our marriage."
