Jenna Lyons broke plenty of hearts by skipping BravoCon — but the reason behind her absence was not that serious.
"I mentioned a few significant tasks, one being twiddling my thumbs," quipped the 55-year-old star of Real Housewives of New York City in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on November 6th.
When questioned about whether her nonattendance implies she won't be coming back for season 15 of RHONY, Jenna responded, "No, no, no, I had an event and some other personal matters that needed my attention. ... I had to depart tonight, so I had to catch a flight, and it just wasn't feasible. It didn't work out."
Jenna confessed that she didn't experience any fear of missing out (FOMO) while observing her costars' updates from the Las Vegas event. When asked by ET whether she missed attending the three-day fan convention, she flatly responded "no."
Unlike the other new RHONY cast members—Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, and Sai De Silva—who were present at BravoCon this past weekend, Jenna's absence only fueled fan speculation that she has no intentions of returning for another season.
Some of her fellow cast members believe that Jenna is not yet prepared to leave the show. "She is an incredible entrepreneur and businesswoman, adaptable and experienced in many different areas. This is just another fantastic chapter in her already remarkable life," Brynn, 36, revealed exclusively to We on November 4th.
Sai, on the other hand, expressed her desire for Jenna to return for another season of Housewives. "We all adore Jenna," Sai, 42, exclaimed. "She brings a sense of logic and reason to our group."
One day prior, Andy Cohen was evasive when questioned about Jenna's potential comeback at his "Ask Andy" panel, but he expressed his desire for all six members of the RHONY cast to return for season 15.
Fans share this hope, as Jenna has unexpectedly become a beloved figure among viewers, despite her reluctance to adhere to Housewives' protocols during girls' trips. Additionally, in September, she committed the unthinkable act of wearing jeans to her initial reunion taping.
Jenna expressed her complete surprise at her popularity among Bravo fans, stating that she did not expect anyone to remember her name, let alone have fans fangirling and fanboying over her on the street, especially after filming alongside big personalities like Ubah and Brynn.
