"After a night out in latex, you create a whole new world within your own body," joked the 55-year-old fashion icon, speaking on "The Run-Through With Vogue" podcast. Lyons discussed her experience wearing a Saint Laurent bodysuit at Usher's Rendezvous à Paris Dinner with Creed Fragrance in France on September 29.
"The Real Housewives of New York City star shared that she crafted her outfit by combining a Tom Ford cashmere mens suit with three pieces of latex. She had a choice between a pencil skirt, a deep-V bodysuit, and a turtleneck, but ultimately opted for a mock-neck bodysuit and trousers. Although the final look exuded a sleek and edgy vibe, Lyons admitted that there is a drawback to wearing latex. She explained that in order to achieve the desired shine, one must apply lube to the material."
The former president of J.Crew expressed, "There is a certain degree of limitation. Embracing or leaning against things is impossible. Sitting on upholstered furniture is off-limits since it would cause damage, so one feels slightly outlandish... I was an outsider in Paris." Lyons additionally confessed that she felt akin to a towering object of desire, but in the context of YSL.
Jenna Lyons and Usher were captured in intimate moments during the glamorous soirée, which Lyons later shared on Instagram. Despite her restrictive outfit, the two were seen getting close to each other.
"What an incredible night and moment," she exclaimed in an accompanying black-and-white photo with the Grammy winner. "I had the most amazing time. I want to express my gratitude for including me. Let me just say that sitting across from Usher and Jenn at dinner was an absolute delight – they are warm, funny, passionate, and a bit silly. Not to mention, incredibly attractive. Despite my starstruck state and potential weirdness, they both remained genuinely connected and engaged with me. It was an absolutely fantastic experience."
She continued, "I was completely blown away. Usher, you are going to rock the Super Bowl and I can't wait for it. I feel incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to bask in their warmth."
