Erin Lichy is unhappy with Brynn Whitfield, her co-star on The Real Housewives of New York, for crossing boundaries with her husband, Abraham Lichy. Erin, 36, exclusively shares with We during the promotion of season 14 of RHONY that although she admires certain aspects of Brynn's personality, there are moments when she feels uncomfortable and decides to distance herself.
During a May teaser for the revamped reality show, viewers witnessed Brynn, 36, develop a close bond with an unknown married individual, who Erin reveals is her husband. Surprisingly, this incident unfolded at Erin and Abraham's anniversary celebration. In the video excerpt, Brynn playfully hints to Abraham about the possibility of splitting up, stating that she is "single" if he is "ready to get a divorce." Although the encounter was uncomfortable, Erin assures that Abraham shrugged it off and found it amusing. Conversely, Erin herself did not find the remark amusing.
She expressed, "Upon reflection, considering the incident and the behavior, it's not something I would ever engage in. I believe it was neither the appropriate time nor place, and the behavior exhibited did not strike me as normal." This incident served as the most recent occurrence in the ongoing drama between Erin and Brynn, which began in the season 14 premiere with the infamous "Cheese Gate." During this incident, Erin, Brynn, and fellow cast member Sai De Silva found themselves embroiled in an argument over a cheese spread. (The RHONY reboot also includes cast members Jessel Taank, Ubah Hassan, and Jenna Lyons.)

In the episode, the drama started when Brynn brought up the fact that she overheard Erin expressing annoyance at comments made by Sai. Erin believed that Sai had insulted her culinary choices by calling the platter "weird." However, Sai denied this and confessed to simply snacking on the appetizer instead.
"I simply presented a cheese platter," she explains to Us. "It seems like everything you do with this group is constantly criticized. So, if that's the case, then why don't you do it yourself?"
Despite the drama, Erin commended her fellow Housewives, highlighting the distinctiveness and individuality of the new cast.
According to her, there is something relatable about each of them that appeals to a wide range of people. She emphasizes that while there is a common thread among them, their experiences are diverse and unique.
The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Bravo Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
