Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton were seen on the red carpet together. They were attending the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s Night Before charity event on Saturday, March 9. The event was cochaired by Sterling K. Brown, Ryan Michelle Bathé, America Ferrera, Ryan Piers-Williams, Jodie Foster, and Paul Giamatti.

Richards, who is 55 years old, looked stunning in a black lace dress that accentuated her figure. She completed her outfit with nude heels and a black handbag. Hilton, aged 64, opted for a pink dress that she paired with matching pink heels and a purse.

Just a few days before their Saturday appearance, Hilton made waves in the news by hinting that Richards had been contemplating her separation from Mauricio Umansky for quite some time. (Their split was officially confirmed in July 2023.)

During part 2 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 reunion, Hilton expressed that Kyle is not impulsive. She takes her time before making decisions, and it's likely she had been contemplating this for the past few years. Hilton mentioned that Richards and Umansky, who were married for 27 years, have been exploring other opportunities since their separation.

During an interview in November 2023, Hilton dismissed the possibility of her sister Kyle reconciling with Umansky following their split. She confidently stated on Today, "There’s no way Kyle would’ve gone this far unless she really thought about it."

Hilton described Richards as "strong and resilient" and expressed her desire for her sister's happiness. She shared, "When I first heard the news, it really saddened me. Believe it or not, Kyle is the youngest but she is also the strongest and most assertive."

The relationship between Hilton and Richards has had its highs and lows over the years. Tensions reached a peak during a RHOBH cast trip to Aspen in a September 2022 episode. Lisa Rinna revealed that Hilton confided in her about her issues with Richards in a private conversation off camera.

Before the episode’s release, Hilton expressed regret for how she approached the situation. She felt that it was a private conversation and just wanted someone to reassure her that everything would be okay. In July 2022, she told Us exclusively, "I love both my sisters. They're my blood, and I never should have said anything to anybody."

In June 2023, Hilton and Richards appeared to bury the hatchet and reconcile during a family trip to Aspen. Cameras captured the heartwarming moment of them making up.

"I'm sorry. It wasn't your fault," she said in an Instagram Story shared by Kyle's eldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie. "It's not your fault. I was just feeling sad."
