RHOBH‘s Crystal Kung Minkoff shared a frightening experience that happened while she was on a family trip abroad.

On SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live show, the reality star disclosed that her house was invaded by four intruders just two weeks ago. This occurred after she had posted on social media that she was out of the country. Crystal was in Japan for spring break with her husband, Rob Minkoff, and their two children, Max, 11, and Zoe, 8.

Crystal, 41, shared that while she was out of town, there was an attempted break-in at her home. Her friends who were housesitting had to confront the intruders directly, but fortunately, everyone was unharmed.

After recounting the frightening incident, the Bravo star went on to describe the events that unfolded once the intruders managed to gain entry.

She shared that when they entered the house, they came face-to-face with her friend, causing them to quickly run away. Her friend, who was actually her girlfriend, was left very shaken up by the encounter. She FaceTimed the speaker and seemed extremely scared, which made the speaker feel terrible. This incident served as a reminder that they need to increase their security measures even more. Each time they hear a similar story, they make sure to enhance their security, and now they are planning to take even more serious precautions.

During the discussion, host Jeff Lewis asked how the intruders managed to enter the property, wondering if they had jumped over the gate. Crystal confirmed that indeed they had hopped over the gate to gain access to her home. She mentioned that she had already taken steps to address this security issue following the incident.

"I'm fully gated, but we're going heavy duty this week," she informed him. She mentioned that she was increasing her security measures because the intruders had found a way to enter that would no longer be accessible.

Crystal didn't want to delve too much into the scary incident, but she did share with Lewis that she was surprised it occurred while her friends were present during the break-in. She also mentioned that despite being in her home, they had not properly secured it.

Crystal explained that despite being guests, she had a lot more security measures that were not being utilized. She mentioned that the incident was unexpected, especially since it happened at home.

When Lewis suggested various security changes, Crystal confirmed that she was open to all options, from raising walls to installing fences. She emphasized that they were taking security very seriously and were planning to implement all necessary measures.

's harrowing experience highlights the importance of home security, even when away. Her story is a reminder that intruders can strike at any time, and it's crucial to take precautions to protect ourselves and our loved ones. It's alarming that the intruders gained access through a seemingly secure gate, underscoring the need for robust security measures.

Minkoff's account also raises questions about the role of houseguests in maintaining security. It's important to ensure that those entrusted with our homes are aware of and follow proper security protocols. Open communication and clear expectations can help prevent incidents like these. As Minkoff and Lewis discussed, investing in additional security measures, such as higher walls or fences, can provide peace of mind and deter potential intruders.
