Unveiling The Real Traitor

In the final installment of Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc's opening episode, Kakucho, Takemichi's childhood friend who also holds the position of one of Tenjiku's Four Heavenly Kings, issues a cautionary note regarding a traitor lurking within Toman's ranks. The mounting tension surrounding this revelation culminates in this particular episode, unraveling crucial secrets concerning both Tenjiku and Izana. As a result, Takemichi now possesses the knowledge needed to bestow his trust upon the deserving few as he embarks on his mission, discovering a renewed sense of purpose emerging from the depths of his despair.

Revelations and Unlikely Associations: An Inside Look at Tokyo Revengers

Seishu Inui (Inupi) and Hajime Kokonoi (Koko) bound before him left Takemichi utterly confused. Yasuhiro Muto, also known as Mucho, then proceeded to explain the special privileges his Division in the Tokyo Manji Gang enjoyed. Mucho's remarkable combat skills granted him the authority to suppress dissent within the group, a responsibility entrusted to him by Mikey. This explained why both Mikey and Draken intervened to rescue Takemichi from Kiyomasa and his gambling operation.

Takemichi started to worry that Mucho suspected him, and Inui suggested that it could be because of his association with Izana during his time with the Black Dragons. Inui reasoned that it was understandable for Mucho to be suspicious of the three of them since Takemichi was their leader and had brought Mucho and Kokonoi into the Tokyo Manji Gang after the downfall of the Tenth Generation Black Dragons.

However, Inui quickly reassured his loyalty to Toman and vouched for Takemichi. Mucho responded by saying that Takemichi's position in the organization had no connection to their current predicament. To Takemichi's shock, Inui revealed that Mucho was actually a member of the S-62 Generation and had a close alliance with Izana during their time in reform school. Mucho confirmed this, admitting that he chose his path upon hearing of Izana's return, confessing to be one of the founding members of Tenjiku and the true traitor among them.

The Beginnings Of A Real Crime Syndicate

Rendered speechless, Takemichi suddenly recalled that Mucho was the only Division Captain of Toman who had escaped Tenjiku's attack unharmed during the emergency meeting. It all clicked for Takemichi, understanding the meaning behind Kakucho's words, and he demanded to know what Mucho's intentions were. Cool and composed, Mucho expressed his regret for not meeting Mikey earlier and revealed his loyalty to Izana.

Confused and unaware of the reason behind Mucho's kidnapping, Takemichi couldn't respond when Mucho questioned him about Taiju Shiba recruiting Kokonoi, the leader of the Tenth Generation Black Dragons. Mucho explained that Kokonoi's talent for making money was the reason behind his recruitment. This sparked another realization for Takemichi as he remembered Taiju referring to Kokonoi as Toman's financial backbone in the future, understanding that he was destined to handle the gang's finances.

Going deeper into Izana's plan, Mucho clarified that Kokonoi was unlikely to abandon his close friend Inui. Both of them currently worked under Takemichi, which is the reason why he had gathered them all together. Izana aimed to combine Kokonoi's talent as a treasurer, Kisaki's intelligence, and Mikey's charisma to establish the most formidable criminal syndicate ever seen in history. Upon hearing this, Takemichi realized that he had a golden opportunity to save Toman. Determined, he stood up and declared that he would not back down until Mucho killed him; he refused to let Tenjiku harm any of his subordinates.

Following In Shinichiro's Footsteps

Mucho dismissed Takemichi's chances of winning, but Takemichi assured him that victory was not his goal. This response surprised Inui, as it reminded him of Shinichiro Sano. While Mucho mercilessly pummeled Takemichi, Inui rushed to support his friend, only to be knocked unconscious himself. Witnessing Mucho's brutal assault on his companions, Kokonoi's determination crumbled, and he pleaded for him to stop, vowing to do whatever Tenjiku demanded.

Waking up in a pile of trash, Takemichi remembered Inui's unwavering loyalty as he regained consciousness. Determined to save his friend, Takemichi carried Inui on his back. Inui chuckled and led Takemichi to their hideout, shared with Kokonoi. While tending to their wounds, Inui dramatically dropped to his knees and pleaded with Takemichi to become the leader of the Eleventh Generation Black Dragons, urging him to save Koknoi.

After regaining his composure, Inui revealed that they were actually in Shinichiro Sano's former bike shop. Inui greatly admired Shinichiro and respected the safe haven he had created for delinquents. Joining the Black Dragons was Inui's way of following in Shinichiro's footsteps, but he had unfortunately encountered the menacing Eighth Generation, led by Izana, which was a much more malevolent and violent gang.

After returning from juvenile detention, Inui desperately tried to reform the gang in Shinichiro's image. However, his decision to turn to Taiju Shiba proved to be another serious mistake. Witnessing Inui's despair, Takemichi couldn't help but feel regret for his own failures. Nevertheless, determined to find a new ally in Inui, Takemichi boldly accepted his challenge to become the Eleventh Generation Black Dragons' Toman First Division Captain. Through this decision, he hoped to not only save Kokonoi but also lead himself towards the future he had envisioned. With Season 3's pressing questions answered, the fourth episode of Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc ended on a positive note, offering a glimmer of hope for Takemichi's journey ahead.
