Reese Witherspoon is happily single after her divorce from Jim Toth. Any rumors about her dating Kevin Costner are completely false and fabricated, according to her representative. Speculation about their relationship began spreading recently, but it is not based on any truth.
Prior to the rep's denial, numerous fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their varied opinions on the potential celebrity pairing. On Wednesday, November 8, one user enthusiastically wrote, "Kevin Costner is dating Reese Witherspoon? What??? You go boy!!! You go girl!!!" Conversely, another social media user raised doubts about the couple's 21-year age difference, tweeting, "She's 47, he's what, 68ish? Those two? Really?"
Since her separation from Toth, 53, in March after 11 years of marriage, Witherspoon has not been publicly involved in any romantic relationships. In a now-deleted Instagram statement, the couple shared their personal news, stating, "We have some personal news to share... It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together."
The news of their separation broke just two days prior to their planned celebration of their 12th wedding anniversary on March 26th. They had gotten married in 2011 and had a son named Tennessee, who is now 10 years old, a year after their wedding. (Witherspoon also has a daughter named Ava, 24, and a son named Deacon, 20, from her previous marriage with Ryan Phillippe.)
In April, Witherspoon initiated the formal process of divorce, which was finally settled in August.

Before the speculation about a romance with Costner, the actress from the Morning Show was said to be dating Tom Brady. In April, a representative for Witherspoon denied the rumors and stated they were completely false.
Brady, aged 46, ended his marriage with Gisele Bündchen in 2022 and had a brief relationship with model Irina Shayk earlier this year. Last month, a source confirmed to Us that their romance had faded away.
Costner, on the other hand, made headlines for his widely publicized divorce from Christine Baumgartner. Us Magazine reported in May that after almost 19 years of marriage, Baumgartner, 49, filed for divorce from the 68-year-old Oscar winner, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause of the separation.
During the long and contentious legal process, Baumgartner was unsuccessful in her attempt to remain in the shared home with Costner. However, Costner emerged victorious in the battle over child support, with the court ordering him to pay his ex-wife a monthly sum of $63,209. Costner and Baumgartner have three children together: Cayden (15), Hayes (14), and Grace (13). Costner also has children from his previous marriages: Annie (39), Lily (37), and Joe (35), from his marriage to Cindy Silva, and Liam (26) from his relationship with Bridget Rooney.
Costner and Baumgartner's divorce was officially concluded in September, with the specific terms of their settlement agreement remaining undisclosed to the public.
Despite their public disagreements, a source revealed earlier this year that the ex-spouses have managed to maintain a cordial relationship after the divorce settlement. The source emphasized that they prioritized avoiding any acrimony for the sake of their children.
The insider continued: “[Kevin] is just thrilled that the negotiations are over. At the end of the day, Christine is the mother to his children and he didn’t want to fight anymore.”
