Rebel Wilson has opened up about her journey with sexual pleasure.

In her recently released memoir, Rebel Rising, Wilson, 44, revealed that it wasn't until 2019, at the age of 39, that she experienced her first orgasm, which she fondly referred to as her “Year of Love.” Despite going on dates with approximately 50 men and being intimate with two of them during that time, it was only when she started exploring her own body that she finally had a truly fulfilling orgasm.

I never really knew much about orgasms. I never really focused on my own pleasure during sex. It was more about the guy finishing, and then sex was done. While I did feel pleasure, I don't think I had truly experienced an orgasm at that point. I may have thought I did.

After purchasing sex toys and learning more about the subject, I finally achieved climax when pleasuring myself alone. I remember thinking, "Is this what I was missing out on?"

Through my research for my Year of Love, I learned that sex is about more than just one person's pleasure. It should be a priority for both partners to experience orgasms.

In a previous interview with People in March, Wilson shared that she lost her virginity at the age of 35. Describing herself as a "late bloomer," she wanted to reassure others that it's okay not to rush into losing their virginity during their teenage years.

"Waiting until you feel ready or a bit more mature is perfectly fine," she said. "It's a positive message. You don't have to wait until your thirties like I did, but there's no rush as a young person."

In her recently released book, Wilson shared that she lost her virginity to her ex-boyfriend Mickey Gooch Jr, whom she dated for a few months in 2015.

Wilson revealed that Micks was the person she lost her virginity to in a letter, stating that he was the first to read her book. She confirmed this in an interview with The New York Times.

In her memoir, Wilson shared that after losing her virginity, she felt proud and celebrated the moment by high-fiving herself. She explained that her mother's cancer diagnosis influenced her decision to be intimate with someone, as she realized the importance of experiencing life fully. Wilson expressed that she didn't want to miss out on love and sex, and decided to face her fears and embrace these experiences.

The Pitch Perfect star shared how she got ready for the event, which involved watching porn and using a vibrator. She explained that she used to always have thoughts of sex and intimacy in her mind, but now she feels more connected to her body and enjoys it. She even mentioned having a boyfriend who is good-looking and wealthy.

Wilson admitted that if she had been born 20 years later, she would have explored her sexuality more. She mentioned that she always knew she was attracted to men, as that was considered normal.
