Rebel Wilson revealed in her memoir, Rebel Rising, that actor Mickey Gooch Jr. was the man she lost her virginity to at the age of 35.
In a candid message to Gooch Jr., Wilson, 44, expressed, "Micks, I know this might be news to you if you are reading this, but yes I lost my virginity to you."
Wilson confirmed to The New York Times on Wednesday, April 3, that he was the first person to read her book, so he knows it well.
In her memoir, Wilson remembered high-fiving herself after losing her virginity. She shared that her mom's breast cancer diagnosis had a big impact on her decision. Wilson expressed that life is short and she didn't want to miss out on experiencing love and sex. She declared to the universe that she was finally ready to face her fears and go for it.
Wilson prepared for the night by watching porn and using a vibrator. She shared, "I used to just imagine sex and intimacy in my head, but now I feel more connected to my body. I'm enjoying this new experience. I even have a handsome and wealthy boyfriend now."
In September 2015, it was confirmed that Wilson and Gooch had broken up after a few months of dating. A source revealed, "It has been tough for him. They remain friends, so there's always a possibility of reconciliation in the future."

Wilson, who referred to herself as a "late bloomer," shared in March that she included the story of losing her virginity at 35 in her memoir to reassure others that it's okay not to do so as a teenager.
In an interview with People in March, Wilson expressed that waiting until you are ready or more mature is a valid choice. She believes this can be a positive message, emphasizing that there is no rush to lose your virginity as a young person.
During her honest interview, Wilson shared that she used to avoid talking about the topic because she felt embarrassed.
She mentioned, "I would usually just walk away when the topic came up. And then hearing people say, 'Oh, at 24, it's so late.' And here I am thinking, 'Oh my goodness, I'm 35! What's going on? I must look like a total loser.'"
Wilson admitted to once telling a lie to her friend instead of being honest about her feelings. She recalled a time when she made up a story, saying, "Oh, yeah, I just did it to get it over with when I was like 23," in order to avoid any further questions.
Reflecting on her past, the Pitch Perfect star expressed that if she had been born 20 years later, she would have been more open to exploring her sexuality. Wilson shared that back then, she simply knew she was attracted to men and thought that was the norm.
Wilson shared that after her father's passing, she began to open up more and reconsider her views on marriage. Despite previously seeing it as a negative and a waste of time, she started to embrace the idea. Years later, she found herself developing feelings for a woman, which she believes reflects the changing attitudes in society.
In June 2022, Wilson made her public debut, announcing her relationship with Ramona Agruma. The couple welcomed their daughter Royce in November 2022 with the help of a surrogate. Then, in February 2023, Wilson proposed to Agruma while they were on a trip to Disneyland in California.
