In a post on Instagram, McEntire clarified that she did not make any negative remarks about Swift. Instead, she praised Swift as a talented artist, strong role model, and a positive influence in the music industry.

America Loves Liberty's Facebook account quoted McEntire as saying that she called Taylor Swift "an entitled little brat" after Swift's alleged reaction to McEntire's Super Bowl performance.
