Raven-Symone's Astonishing Youthful Transformation: Jaw-dropping Liposuction and 2 Breast Reductions Before 18

Raven-Symoné revealed on the August 7 episode of her podcast, "The Best Podcast Ever," that she had undergone multiple plastic surgery procedures as a child star. The 37-year-old actress opened up about having two breast reductions and liposuction before turning 18, sharing this information for the first time.

She mentioned that there was paperwork involved as she was still a minor during her procedures. Raven shared that her father strongly suggested she have her breasts reduced and asked her if there was anything else she wanted to feel better about herself. She decided to also have liposuction in the hopes that it would put an end to people calling her fat, resulting in a two-in-one surgery.

However, the first surgery came with complications. Upon waking up from anesthesia, Raven had a seizure. She recalled experiencing dry mouth and difficulty breathing before going back under anesthesia, and the medical staff informed her that she had indeed had a seizure.

Raven expressed that the entire situation was "simply chaotic," but dealing with a painful recovery at such a young age proved particularly demanding. "I bear physical scars. Even to this day, I have remnants of scar tissue," she stated. "Furthermore, I experienced weight gain afterwards and had to undergo a minor additional procedure to address the fact that my breasts were still considered too large by some individuals."

It was not mentioned by Raven-Symone the exact age at which she had her surgeries. It was around the time she was 18 years old that her popular Disney Channel series, That's So Raven, and the first movie of The Cheetah Girls franchise were both released in 2003. Raven-Symone also returned to play her character Galleria in the sequel, The Cheetah Girls 2, in 2005. That's So Raven came to an end in 2007 after five seasons.

Over the years, Raven has openly shared her journey of losing and gaining weight. In May 2021, she took to Instagram to announce that she had shed approximately 30 pounds.

"You notice my chin? If you're currently watching Raven's Home and then join me on this live stream, you'll see a significant change in my appearance," she expressed. "I've embarked on a transformative weight loss journey."

She later clarified that her intention wasn't to resemble a thin figure, expressing in a June 2021 episode of Good Morning America, "I'm not aiming to be excessively focused on my appearance. I have a specific objective in mind, which encompasses overall bodily well-being. ... I don't attempt to speak for others."

In the subsequent month, Raven disclosed that her bond with Maday, 35 — whom she wedded in June 2020 — acted as inspiration in her weight loss journey.

"We desired a life together," she revealed to E! News in that July. "Her concern is preserving my wellbeing, and I am committed to being in the best possible health for her."
