The couple hasn't revealed much about the early stages of their romance, but they did share insights into how they first met. "Our paths crossed for the very first time at a lively gay bar in West Hollywood. Symoné was hosting a fabulous karaoke night," Pearman-Maday mentioned during a Q&A video.

Symoné officially revealed that their relationship first began when she left a comment on an old Instagram photo of the two, exclaiming, "Wow, babe, you really took us back to the early days of our relationship #2015/2016!” This revelation came to light in June 2020.

The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony specially organized by their close friends. The women expressed their desire to start a family, with Symoné envisioning a large family with four children. During an interview on the podcast "Howie Mandel Does Stuff," the former child star opened up about her approach to preserving her privacy in regards to her romantic relationships. She revealed, "When it comes to my love life, I have always been strict about maintaining my privacy. Every time I entered into a relationship, I made sure to have individuals sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)." She went on to explain that though it initially felt impersonal, she eventually grasped the importance of such measures for someone in her position.

Even her current spouse signed documents before becoming deeply involved. "I hesitated because I sensed that Miranda was unique. ... We both acknowledged that this detracts from the authenticity, but we also recognized the influence of Hollywood," Symoné recounted.

Subsequently, in the same month, the couple unveiled their upcoming venture — "The Best Podcast Ever" — set to premiere in July 2023.
