Rachel Lindsay Slams Taylor Swift Fans for Disrespecting Football: Shocking Revelations!

Rachel Lindsay isn't thrilled about spectators tuning in to Kansas City Chiefs games solely to catch a sight of Taylor Swift.

Lindsay, 38, expressed her strong dislike for the recent coverage of Swift, 33, attending rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce's games on the Thursday, October 12, episode of "The View Behind the Table" podcast. She mentioned her love for the game and her familiarity with Kelce since he joined the league. Lindsay, known for her appearances on The Bachelor and as the lead of The Bachelorette season 13, is an avid sports fan. She even participates in a celebrity fantasy football league with John Legend, David Spade, Darius Rucker, and others. Lindsay admitted to being a fan of Kelce, 34, and mentioned watching his dating show when it premiered in 2016.

Swift has shown her support for Kelce by attending three Chiefs games in recent weeks. This comes after Kelce tried to give Swift his phone number during The Eras Tour in July. Lindsay, speaking on Thursday, expressed frustration with Swift's fans and their obsession with the relationship. Lindsay feels that their focus should be on the sport rather than the celebrity status of Swift and Kelce. The media's coverage and fans wearing "Taylor Swift's boyfriend" shirts at games is seen as disrespectful to the sport, the game, and Kelce himself.

Although Lindsay admits her negativity towards the ongoing spectacle involving Swift and Kelce, she acknowledges the positive impact the NFL player's recent romance has had on his popularity.

"This has had a tremendous effect on Travis. He has gained a significant number of Instagram followers and has attracted a completely new audience," she commented. "While this is great for him, I personally don't want to constantly catch glimpses of her with Donna Kelce in the suite, accompanied by any other famous friends she chooses to bring."

Swift joined Travis' parents, Donna and Ed, on Thursday night to witness the Chiefs' triumph over the Denver Broncos.

Earlier, she had accompanied Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and others to the MetLife Stadium two weeks ago to witness the Kansas City team's victory over the New York Jets. This game garnered over 27 million viewers, making it the most-watched Sunday TV show since Super Bowl LVII, as reported by NBC Sports.

Sports broadcaster Al Michaels disclosed on Thursday that the Thursday Night Football production team convened before the game to strategize their approach in covering Swift during the broadcast.

"Our team discussed this earlier today," Michaels, 78, informed Sports Illustrated. "We cannot allow the spotlight to shift solely onto her. The majority of our viewers are tuning in for the football game. While there may be a significant number of individuals interested in Swift, they do not form the majority. Therefore, our focus is not going to be solely on her throughout the night. This is not our intention."

Travis and Swift have yet to confirm their relationship status, but Lindsay firmly believes that they are a couple who complement each other.

"The women adore Travis Kelce, so why wouldn't she be attracted to him? And vice versa," Lindsay expressed. "She's talented and gorgeous, so I understand. I just don't want it constantly thrown in my face."
