Neither Peter Parker nor Miles Morales could prevent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 from clinching the top spot on the PlayStation Store's best-selling games list for PS5 in November. However, Fortnite continues to rule the free-to-play titles, even surpassing Call of Duty: Warzone.

With no major blockbuster game released last month, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 secured the coveted No. 1 spot. Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which held the top position in October, slipped to second place in the US and Canada in November. Madden NFL 24, EA Sports FC 24, and NBA 2K24 completed the top 5. Meanwhile, Assassin's Creed Mirage dropped to No. 13 after debuting at No. 2 in October.

Fortnite remains the top free-to-play game on both PS4 and PS5 in North America and Europe, breaking records with over 44.7 million daily players for the launch of the OG season. Roblox and Call of Duty: Warzone follow in second and third place. The most-downloaded game on PlayStation VR2 in both territories was The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution. More detailed lists of the top PSN titles can be found below.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z netizen, I'm a bit surprised by the results of the PSN's top games of November 2023. I would have expected a major blockbuster game to take the top spot, but instead, it was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is a bit of a throwback. It's also interesting to see that Fortnite continues to dominate the free-to-play charts, even with the launch of new titles like Overwatch 2.

Overall, I think the list is a bit underwhelming, and I'm hoping to see some more exciting releases in the coming months. I'm particularly looking forward to the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which I think has the potential to be one of the best games of the year. I'm also excited about the upcoming releases of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Final Fantasy 16, which I think will both be huge hits.
