Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton’s bond has only gotten stronger over the years.

In his upcoming book, royal journalist Omid Scobie reveals that despite facing challenges, the couple's marriage remains strong. He also highlights that Kate and William, both 41, are still working together as a team. The book also mentions William's immense pride in Kate's achievements as a senior member of the royal family.

In recent months, Kate and William have had a busy schedule with royal trips, appearances, and functions, including their attendance at a state banquet at Buckingham Palace. The banquet was in honor of the President of the Republic of Korea and the First Lady, who were on a tour in the U.K. They were joined by King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Despite rumors of marital issues, the couple remains focused on their royal duties and being a strong unit.

Kate and Willam — who got married in 2011 — have shouldered more duties as Charles, 75, took over the throne after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. At that moment, another source disclosed to Us that the loss of William’s grandmother had a profound impact on both him and his spouse.

"They acknowledge that it's been a challenging year, but everyone agrees that William and Kate have admirably shown resilience in the face of adversity," the source revealed. Along with their sorrow, William and Kate have also experienced strained relations with William's brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle. The tension between the couples escalated in 2020 when Harry, 38, and Meghan, 42, announced their decision to step down from their senior royal duties.

The feud escalated after Harry and Meghan openly discussed their problems with the royals in their 2022 docuseries, Harry & Meghan. Meghan shared the discomfort of her first meeting with Kate and William, recalling, "I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot. I was a hugger. I’ve always been a hugger. I didn’t realize that is really jarring for a lot of Brits. I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside, that there is a forward-facing way of being, and then you close the door and you go, ‘Oh, alright, OK, I can relax now,' but that formality carries over on both sides, and that was surprising to me."

In his 2023 tell-all "Spare," Harry divulged details about his strained relationship with William. He explained that a physical confrontation occurred between them after William made negative remarks about Meghan. Harry stated that William grabbed him by the collar and broke his necklace.

According to Scobie's book, Kate and Meghan have had very minimal direct communication since their issues began. While they have exchanged brief pleasantries, they are not close and reconciliation does not seem likely in the future.
