A Genshin Impact fan has come up with a fascinating concept that showcases Ei and Makoto in their pre-cataclysm days. These two characters hold significant importance in Inazuma, one of the seven major regions in Teyvat that was introduced in version 2.0 of the game.
Similar to other regions, Inazuma boasts its own Archon who takes on the role of protecting the nation. Raiden Makoto, also known as Baal, was the original Electro Archon. Each region in Genshin Impact is associated with an elemental representative and divine ideal, with eternity being the symbol of Makoto's reign over Inazuma.
During the Archon War in the Inazuma region, there were two twin gods named Raiden Makoto and Ei. While Makoto was responsible for watching over the Electro nation, Ei was known as a skilled warrior and was more respected than her sister due to her fierce personality. Ei believed that Makoto was the perfect fit to rule over Inazuma, which led her to sacrifice her own body to allow Makoto to ascend to Celestia and become one of the Seven Archons in Genshin Impact.
Interestingly, a Reddit user named sei6kk shared a concept of Makoto and Ei before the Archon War. Fans seem to love the fan-art, with the post receiving over 3.6k upvotes on the game's official subreddit. Many praised sei6kk's work for its exceptional shadowing and how it blends in with the overall art style.
After Makoto became one of The Seven, she recreated her sister Ei as her body double, and together they jointly ruled over Inazuma. Fans are hoping that the HoYoverse will introduce a time-travel mechanic in the future to allow players to experience iconic moments like the Archon War and meet legendary characters such as Makoto and the Yaksha.
When it comes to Raiden Shogun's prowess on the battlefield, she is widely regarded as one of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact. Her versatile kit allows her to seamlessly fit into almost any team composition that requires an Electro character. What makes her an excellent choice for players on a budget is the fact that she doesn't need too many resources to be effective.
In the accompanying image, we see Makoto holding Yae Miko, an old friend and powerful kitsune who is also a playable character in Genshin Impact. During a recent live stream event, it was revealed that Yae Miko will be featured on a banner in the upcoming version 3.7 of the game.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
