The women of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have suggestions for casting changes in the upcoming season of the Bravo show. Kandi Burruss, a member of the cast since 2009, expressed her hesitance in incorporating or eliminating any cast members.
"I believe there is a possibility of a shakeup, but whenever they decide to make changes, it sometimes saddens me to see familiar faces go. Occasionally, when they bring in someone new, I try to remain open-minded and give them a chance. It's worth noting that I could have stuck with the original crew from when I first started." Kandi, 47, shared her thoughts on the BravoCon red carpet in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 4. She joined RHOA during season 2, alongside Lisa Wu, Nene Leakes, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and Shereé Whitfield. Currently, she stars alongside Kenya Moore, who believes the show could benefit from introducing fresh faces.

Kenya, 52, emphasized the need for a shake-up rather than a complete reboot, expressing that bringing back some Housewives from previous seasons could be a great idea. Reflecting on the past, she believes it is crucial to restore the genuine and non-desperate dynamic that made the show captivating. Marlo Hampton concurred with Kenya's perspective, stating that it is crucial for producers to absolutely switch up the casting.
"Consider this: two years ago, I was finally bestowed with the honor of becoming a Housewife - now that was quite the transformation," shared Marlo, who is 47 years old, during the fan convention. "In order for things to improve, they must continue to evolve. My desire is for the show to constantly progress."
Marlo's official designation as a Housewife came about in season 14, in the year 2022, after she had made several appearances as a Friend of the cast. In addition to stirring things up with the current group, Marlo dreams of embarking on a "girls trip" with all the original cast members.
"These girls who have paved the way, we are the fresh faces of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and we have immense respect for the former cast members," she expressed. She further mentioned her excitement about OG star Kim returning, stating that it would be a fantastic addition. Shereé, 53, informed Us that although some alterations might be implemented, a complete overhaul of the show is unnecessary.
"Our fans are incredibly loyal. They have shown unwavering support for all of us, making a complete reboot of [RHOA] unlikely and unsuccessful," expressed Shereé. "I'm open to some changes, maybe adding a few new faces."
Although some cast members would appreciate some alterations, newcomer Sanya Richards-Ross shared with Us that the current group of six from season 15, consisting of Kandi, Kenya, Marlo, Shereé, and Drew Sidora, already form a fantastic ensemble.
Sanya, 38, mentioned that having more time to develop genuine friendships would be beneficial. According to her, when the show began, the cast members were real friends who resided in Atlanta and shared a history. Building such connections requires time. Sanya believes that even with the addition of new cast members, they will still be unfamiliar to each other.
Furthermore, Sanya expressed that she has already formed strong bonds with certain costars during her debut season. She hopes that the fans will grant them more time to nurture these relationships.
