Pokemon GO players can participate in various raid opportunities provided by Niantic, the developers of the game. These raids are typically included as part of in-game events. In the case of Wooper and Paldean Wooper, they are featured as 4-star raid bosses and are given a power boost in this role. The key benefit of defeating these raid bosses is the opportunity to encounter their Shiny variant.
Wooper and Paldean Wooper exhibit exceptional performance in battles within their power range. Both of these creatures have a maximum Pokemon GO CP of 725. However, while Wooper belongs to the Water and Ground type, Paldean Wooper is classified as a Poison and Ground type monster. Despite potentially having average stats, their damage output and overall stats increase significantly when they assume the role of 4-star raid bosses. Therefore, players must possess strong counters and possess a suitable understanding of the game's metagame before attempting these raids. To assist with this, the following guide provides all the necessary information to emerge victorious in the Wooper and Paldean Wooper raid.
Pokemon GO: Wooper And Paldean Wooper Weaknesses & Resistances
Wooper and Paldean Wooper are frequently encountered as 4-star raid bosses during events like Community Day. Wooper, being both a Water and Ground-type, is particularly vulnerable to Grass-type moves, but it also possesses resistances against Electric, Fire, Poison, Rock, and Steel-type attacks. On the other hand, Paldean Wooper is weak against Ground, Ice, Psychic, and Water-type moves, while it can resist Electric, Poison, Bug, Fairy, Fighting, and Rock-type attacks in Pokemon GO.
Wooper gains a power boost in rainy and sunny weather, enhancing its overall strength. Similarly, Paldean Wooper becomes more powerful in cloudy and sunny weather conditions. To maximize your chances of success, it is advisable to avoid raid locations that have these weather conditions, as the raid bosses will display greater power. Additionally, utilizing the Same Type of Attack Bonus (STAB) feature in Pokemon GO will allow you to deal bonus damage. When a monster's attack type aligns with its inherent attribute type, the attack triggers the STAB effect.
