In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a player has the opportunity to use a flying machine to kidnap Purah, an NPC from the game. This game allows players to transport Koroks and NPCs to any desired location using a variety of devices, including the flying machine.
The events of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom take place immediately after the conclusion of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. After an incident beneath Hyrule Castle, Link and Zelda are separated, and Link wakes up in a peculiar temple in the skies above Central Hyrule. With the assistance of a mysterious entity named Rauru, Link gains new abilities like Ultrahand, Fuse, and Ascend. These abilities are essential for exploring the uncharted lands of the vast Kingdom of Hyrule and flying from one island to another in the sky in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
ZeldaCastle9, the player of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, manages to kidnap Purah using a large flying machine powered by Zonai energy. Although the exact method of how the player brings Purah onto the machine remains unknown, they transport her on the attached platforms. These platforms have several fans, batteries, and a control mechanism attached to them, enabling successful flight over Hyrule. Despite not being able to attach Purah to the flying machine with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand ability, ZeldaCastle9 manages to fly in the air with her on the platform.
Purah, one of the first Sheikah NPCs that Link reunites with in Lookout Landing after his reawakening, is an over 124-year-old woman who appears to be young due to her research into an anti-aging rune at the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab. She is also the older sister of Impa. Purah's design and personality have made her a beloved character in the Zelda community.
In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can achieve another whimsical feat by kidnapping Purah at ZeldaCastle9 while simultaneously constructing machines with the Ultrahand and Autobuild abilities. However, it's unknown whether moving Purah to a different location may result in a softlock for certain quests, so caution is advised. The Zelda community is expected to continue sharing their creations in the game for weeks and months to come, as sales are projected to grow even further throughout the second half of 2023, with over 10 million copies sold worldwide.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
