Pikmin 4 has finally made its long-awaited debut (it has been nearly a decade since the last numbered release), and those who had the opportunity to play the demo before its official launch can seamlessly transfer certain data into the full version of the game. The demo offers a sneak peek into the initial stages of Pikmin 4 and concludes once a specific quantity of Sparklium is acquired through the collection of treasures and other items. While most demos usually do not allow players to transfer their saved data to the retail version, Nintendo has generously bestowed Pikmin enthusiasts with this exceptional privilege.
Does the Pikmin 4 Demo Carryover?
Indeed, players of the Pikmin 4 demo have the ability to seamlessly transfer their progress to the full game, allowing them to resume their journey exactly where they left off. This feature not only saves a significant amount of time by bypassing the lengthy introductory tutorial sequences, but it also serves as a convenient way to continue exploring the Pikmin universe without any disruptions. Furthermore, as a token of appreciation for downloading the demo, Pikmin 4 players will receive an additional gift as a delightful reward.
Should You Import Save Data to Pikmin 4?
Upon booting up Pikmin 4, players can now continue their progress from where they left off by simply hitting the 'Import' button. This feature is available as long as the saved data from the demo version is present. In the event that a player opts not to import their previous progress, they will be required to start the game from the beginning.
What's the Bonus Gift?
Upon completion of the Pikmin 4 demo and data transfer, players will be granted a reward of five Bomb Rocks. These explosive resources will be conveniently available in players' packs, but can only be utilized and accessed within designated main stages, such as Sun Speckled Terrace, rather than in the area where the crew congregates with the ship.

The Bomb Rocks can be used by the player character to demolish specific walls and deal significant damage to enemies. These explosive projectiles are especially useful during boss fights or challenging encounters when there is a scarcity of Pikmin and a little boost is required.
Pikmin 4 is available for the Nintendo Switch.
