The NFL isn’t the only major sporting league interested in Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s budding romance.
During the Philadelphia Phillies' home game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday, October 16, some MLB announcers playfully referred to Swift, age 33, as Travis, age 34, and his brother, Jason Kelce, who were present in the stands at Citizen Park Stadium.
"Cheers boys. LETS GO PHILLIES @Phillies," Travis and Jason's "New Heights" podcast shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), along with a video of the brothers enjoying a few beers. While commenting on how much fun the men appeared to be having, MLB sports commentators noticed an empty seat.
"There seems to be an empty seat between Travis and Jason. You Swifties, it appears this could be a guys' night," they joked.
The BNO occurred the day after Travis attended the Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Jets game on October 15. He was in East Rutherford, New Jersey, supporting his brother as he achieved a remarkable milestone of 145 consecutive regular-season starts as a center for the Kansas City Chiefs.
While Travis has been busy strengthening his bond with his older brother, he has also been spending quality time with Swift, 33, during his stay on the East Coast. Both of them appeared separately on the Saturday, October 14, episode of Saturday Night Live before enjoying a meal together in NYC and later attending the SNL afterparty. The next day, they had an intimate evening in the bustling city, holding hands as they departed from the Waverly Inn in Greenwich Village.

Travis and Swift's relationship first made waves in July when the tight end expressed his disappointment at not meeting Swift during one of her Eras Tour shows. The situation took a turn when Swift surprised everyone by showing up to support Travis at his game against the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium, making headlines in the process.
Their connection has since caused a frenzy in pop culture, with even the NFL frequently commenting on their dynamic. Swift's music is played during promos, and she is often featured in the crowd during games. Earlier this month, Travis mentioned that he felt the league's TV and social media coverage of their relationship was a bit excessive.
"I find it enjoyable when they show the attendees of the game," he shared with Jason during a September "New Heights" episode. "It adds an extra element to the atmosphere and enhances the viewing experience. However, they are definitely going too far... especially in my case. I believe they are trying to make it entertaining."
On the contrary, Jason disagreed and argued that the NFL is simply "unaccustomed to celebrities attending the games." He added, "Basketball has it figured out... celebrities are seated courtside, briefly shown, and then the focus returns to the game. The NFL, on the other hand, seems to be saying, 'Look at all these A-list celebrities at the game! Show them! Show them!' Dude, show them once and capture a small clip, but don't go overboard with it."
Travis hinted at a desire for a more discreet approach in the future. He acknowledged that he had unintentionally brought attention to himself when he mentioned Taylor Swift and his attempt to give her his number in a previous episode. Travis emphasized the importance of respecting both their personal lives. In October, the NFL responded to Travis' complaints, stating that the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news had become a significant cultural moment. The NFL embraced this fusion of sports and entertainment, noting the overwhelmingly positive response it received.
The league stated that the majority of their content has centered around the game, the players, and various other initiatives, such as the Toy Story Funday Football alt-cast, international games, and more.
While Travis and Swift have not publicly commented on their relationship status, an exclusive source informed us earlier this month that their romance is flourishing and they have genuine affection for each other. The insider highlighted that their hectic schedules, with Travis currently playing for the Chiefs in the 2023 football season and Swift preparing for the international portion of her Eras Tour, contribute to their compatibility and strong connection.
