Atlus' upcoming Persona 3 Reload is now Steam Deck verified, allowing PC gamers to play this highly anticipated JRPG remake on the go when it releases.
Persona 3 Reload, along with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 5 Royal, is now available on Steam Deck, offering even more portable JRPG options for players. Fans are anxiously anticipating news about Persona 5 Tactica and whether it will also be compatible with the Steam Deck, joining the list of supported games.
The Steam page for Atlus' highly anticipated remake, Persona 3 Reload, has recently announced that the game will be verified for the Steam Deck. This exciting update brings Persona 3 Reload in line with modern standards and platforms, making it more similar to Persona 5. In addition to being available on PC via Steam, the game will also launch on other platforms, continuing the trend of recent Persona titles being released on multiple platforms.
Atlus has been expanding their presence on PC, with the release of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 5 Royal in 2022, as well as Persona 4 Golden in 2020. These three popular Persona games are verified for the Steam Deck, allowing PC gamers to enjoy them on the go, similar to Nintendo's Switch system. Adding to the list of compatible titles, Atlus' forthcoming Persona 3 Reload can now be played on the Steam Deck, as confirmed by a recent update and the game's official store page.
Pan-hime on Twitter first discovered this update, which reveals a recent change made to the game's Steam page on SteamDB. SteamDB is a Valve platform database that tracks modifications made to a game's page and provides various statistics. The most recent changelog confirms that Persona 3 Reload is now Steam Deck verified, as stated on the game's official page. This verification indicates that the game's default settings are compatible with Valve's hybrid system, eliminating the need for any adjustments. The game's interface text and graphics are easily readable on the Steam Deck's smaller screen. Considering the popularity of playing Persona 5 Royal on the Steam Deck, the ability to play Persona 3 Reload on this portable system may also benefit its reception.
Pan-hime has noticed that ahead of its November release, Atlus' tactical spin-off of Persona 5, titled Persona 5 Tactica, has not yet been tagged as compatible with the Steam Deck. While it will be available on all major platforms like Reload, with the exception of the Nintendo Switch, it is surprising that Persona 5 Tactica has a Switch version but has not been verified for the Steam Deck. Fans are encouraged to wait for an update to see if the tactical RPG will be included in the library of verified games alongside Persona 3 Reload.
Please note that Persona 3 Reload is set to launch on February 2, 2024, and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
