To expand your options on Steam Deck, you'll want to download the Animation Changer plugin after installing Decky Loader. This plugin provides access to a wide variety of intro videos and suspending animations. Here's how to get it up and running:
First, enter Gaming Mode and tap the button with three dots on the right side of the handheld. Scroll down and select the plug icon. From there, navigate to the Decky Loader menu and select the settings cog. Choose "Check for Updates" and update Decky Loader if necessary. Once updated, select the store icon located next to the settings cog to find and install the Animation Changer plugin.
To change the boot video on your Steam Deck, simply press the button with three dots and select the plug icon. From there, select the Animation Changer plugin and click on Manage Animations to access the new menu. In the Animation Changer menu, you can select the Newest dropdown menu and switch it to most popular or most liked. Then, highlight the new opening video and select Download Animation. Once the new animation is downloaded, open Animation Changer and select Boot from the Animations menu. Finally, choose the new opening video and enjoy your customized Steam Deck boot experience.
