Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa pulled out all the stops to celebrate their twins Zion and Zillion's 2nd birthday and Father's Day in the beautiful state of California.
During their visit to Sesame Place in San Diego, The Masked Singer host, 42, and De La Rosa, 32, were accompanied by their children and youngest daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin, who is 7 months old. The family of five made sure to dress stylishly for the occasion, with Zion, Zillion, and Beautiful Zeppelin all wearing matching blue overall sets. Cannon and the model, on the other hand, opted for denim jeans and colorful Nike sneakers. Each member of the family showcased their love for Sesame Street by incorporating characters from the popular PBS series, such as Oscar the Grouch and Elmo, into their fashionable outfits. Throughout their time at the theme park, Cannon and De La Rosa made sure to explore various attractions, including the water park area where they changed into their swimsuits and had a great time splashing around. They also took the opportunity to capture memorable moments with beloved Sesame Street characters like The Count and Zoe.
During his Father's Day celebration, the Drumline star managed to have a more successful day compared to the previous month's Mother's Day. While Cannon had intended to show love to each of the six mothers of his 12 children individually, things went awry when some of the handwritten cards he wrote ended up being mistakenly sent to the wrong person, causing confusion.
"I really gave it my all, I truly did. I thought it would be a great idea to express my true feelings by writing them down," Cannon revealed on an episode of his radio show, The Daily Cannon. "But when one baby mama reads a card meant for another baby mama... Well, if I had just gotten some generic stuff like everyone else, this wouldn't have happened!"
De La Rosa, a cohost on the show at that time, appeared taken aback by the revelation. She responded with a surprised "Wow," but did not confirm whether she had received the correct card.
Cannon has three children with the radio DJ and shares twins Moroccan and Monroe, who are 12 years old, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. He and Brittany Bell have three children together: Golden, who is 6 years old, Powerful, who is 2 years old, and Rise, who is 8 months old. Additionally, Cannon and Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi are the parents of their 10-month-old son Legendary, while he also shares 8-month-old Onyx with LaNisha Cole. Cannon and Alyssa Scott welcomed their son Zen in June 2021, but unfortunately, he passed away 5 months later due to a brain tumor. However, the couple has since welcomed their daughter Halo, who is 4 months old.
Cannon has frequently faced criticism for his choice to have a large family. Recently, he discussed feeling unfairly portrayed as a villain for being a father to 12 children. In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, he stated, "Currently, the narrative is that I have a bunch of kids. But I have reached a point where I no longer concern myself with what people think. Instead, I focus on being a genuinely good person rather than just telling others that I am."
Additionally, the rapper vehemently refuted allegations that he was absent from his children's lives both physically and financially.
De La Rosa, on the other hand, has expressed that she is unfazed by Cannon's extensive offspring with multiple women. In fact, she disclosed that she even appreciates it when the actor spends time with the other mothers of his children.
"I have love and respect for all women," she expressed in an interview with The Daily Cannon in April. "Sometimes, because I am so calm and laid-back, it actually excites me a little. I may feel a tinge of jealousy, but ultimately, I embrace the fact that he is the father of my child."
In the previous year, De La Rosa stood up against critics and defended her and Cannon's unconventional relationship. "Being in a polyamorous relationship does not indicate low self-esteem or lack of self-worth," the influencer asserted during a September 2022 episode of the "Lovers and Friends" podcast. "I become highly sensitive when people attack me and question my abilities as a mother."
