Niantic Support is aware of the issues players are experiencing with the Routes feature in Pokemon GO, including difficulty in earning Zygarde Cells.

The Routes functionality enables players to document and distribute their walking routes within the gaming community; however, its reception has been varied. Users have encountered game crashes and freezing instances while utilizing Routes, prompting Niantic Support to actively address and resolve these concerns. Additionally, players attempting to evolve Zygarde are experiencing frustration due to the inadequate availability of Zygarde Cells.

Niantic Support is addressing player concerns regarding issues with the new Routes feature in Pokemon GO, which is affecting the ability to earn Zygarde Cells. As a constantly evolving live service game, Pokemon GO undergoes changes through new content and features. Niantic recently introduced a feature called Routes, which allows players to record and share their walking paths with the community through the Campfire App integration. Users can share these trails to help others discover new and interesting locations.

Despite mixed feedback on this feature, Niantic decided to link the latest legendary Pokemon, Zygarde, to Routes. After obtaining the Zygarde Cube by completing the third step of the From A to Zygarde Special Research, players must collect special cells that may appear while walking on a Route created by another player. Unlocking the more powerful versions of Zygarde requires a substantial number of these cells. However, due to their rarity and Routes being available to only a limited number of players, the community is feeling frustrated.

The Niantic Support Twitter account has received numerous questions and concerns regarding this matter. These inquiries have prompted them to release a statement in response to a Pokemon GO player who is encountering game crashes and having trouble finding Zygarde Cells. Fortunately, it seems that others are also experiencing similar issues, indicating that it may be a technical problem or bug rather than an overly aggressive RNG system.

In addition to the problems with Zygarde Cells, players have also reported issues with Routes, which cause the game to crash or freeze during the creation of a route. Regardless of the specific problem, it is clear that many Pokemon GO fans are struggling to acquire Zygarde Cells. Given that 250 cells are required to evolve Zygarde to its final form, the scarcity of these cells is causing frustration among players.

In addition to the Zygarde problem, players have recently encountered various other issues. The July 2023 Community Day event in Pokemon GO, which highlighted Poliwag and promised a 50% reduction in Stardust costs for trading, failed to deliver the expected bonus. This disappointment has further aggravated fans, who are frustrated with another game-related problem affecting an event. Pokemon GO can be downloaded on both Android and iOS devices.
