The Spanish-language trilogy, Through My Window 3: Looking at You, has successfully landed on the Netflix chart, marking the third and final installment based on the romance novel series by Ariana Godoy. The trilogy originally gained popularity on Wattpad, with the first movie, Through My Window, starring Clara Galle and Julio Peña as Raquel and Ares, becoming a hit in 2022. Following its success, Netflix greenlit the sequels, releasing Through My Window 2: Across the Sea in 2023 and Looking at You in 2024.
Netflix recently revealed their global chart for the most-watched Non-English movies during the week of February 19 through February 25. Despite Looking at You claiming the second spot on the chart, the entire Through My Window trilogy has made it into the Top 10 rankings, with the original film at No. 9 and Across the Sea at No. 8. Together, the trilogy has garnered a total of 17.7 million viewers, accumulating 31.5 million hours viewed.
Is Through My Window 3: Looking at You Really The End?

It remains to be seen if this final chapter really marks the end of the franchise, as the entire trilogy continues to draw significant audience interest and trend simultaneously. While it does appear to be the natural conclusion to the storyline by adapting the final novel in the trilogy, there is a possibility that the franchise may take a different direction. The recent After installment After Everything, for example, concluded the five-part movie series with a mostly original story, deviating from the original Anna Todd books while still incorporating some scenes from the source material.
The After franchise, which gained popularity on Wattpad, was also based on a series of books before being adapted into films.
The conclusion of Through My Window 3: Looking at You may seem final, but that doesn't mean Netflix will abandon the franchise. Just like The Kissing Booth trilogy, which ended without further sequels, Netflix recently launched a spinoff show called XO, Kitty based on the younger sister of the protagonist from To All the Boys I've Loved Before.
It remains uncertain if the cast of Through My Window would return for another installment after Through My Window 3: Looking at You. If Netflix decides to follow the XO, Kitty model and approve a spinoff, not all actors may need to be involved. Alternatively, Netflix could choose to explore other book series by Ariana Godoy, such as Darks, My Wattpad Love, or Almas perdidas (Lost Souls), and leave Ares and Raquel's story behind.
