Differences in Power Scale
The power scale in Netflix's adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho mirrors that of the original anime, but there are significant differences to consider when ranking the main characters from weakest to strongest. The live-action adaptation brings the Spirit Detective saga to life while also incorporating fights from the Demon World tournament. However, not every fight from the anime is depicted in the adaptation, and the strength and skill of Yu Yu Hakusho characters may not align with the source material.

Yusuke's pivotal fights in the live-action show highlight a departure from the power levels depicted in the anime. Most characters only reveal their full power towards the end of the series, with Younger Toguro showcasing his 100% form during his first and only encounter with Yusuke. This exemplifies the disparity in power levels between the anime and the Netflix adaptation.

Character Strength and Abilities
Koenma, despite his significance in the world of Yu Yu Hakusho, is not portrayed as a formidable fighter in the live-action show. His limited role in confronting Sakyo in the human world underscores his lack of prowess, aligning with his portrayal in the anime. While Koenma rules over the Spirit World, his human-based power levels are relatively low.

Kuwabara, often considered the 'most human' of the protagonists, possesses high spiritual awareness but lacks extensive combat training. His signature Spirit Sword technique, developed under Genkai's guidance, showcases his unique sensibility towards the Spirit World. However, Kuwabara's combat skills are overshadowed by the yokai and Yusuke.
Elder Toguro, a shapeshifter, is depicted as less powerful than his younger brother. In the live-action series, he engages in confrontations not present in the anime, highlighting his ability to transform parts of his body into weapons. While Elder Toguro exhibits versatility, his strength pales in comparison to Younger Toguro's formidable power.

Notable Characters and Their Skills
Kurama, known for his skillful and creative fighting style, combines traditional combat with demonic plant manipulation. His proficiency in mid and long-range combat, coupled with his ability to transform into a demon fox, underscores his versatility. However, Kurama's power in the live-action does not match that of Hiei in the anime, indicating a deviation in strength portrayal between the two adaptations.

Hiei, a powerful demon, appears relatively weaker in the live-action adaptation compared to the anime. Despite his exceptional speed, Hiei's portrayal lacks moments that showcase his full potential. His inability to defeat Younger Toguro, who is later vanquished by Yusuke, places him lower in the power rankings than the main protagonist.

Genkai, while past her prime, retains incredible strength. Her legendary Spirit Bomb technique, instrumental in Toguro's demise in the anime, highlights her unparalleled skill. Although the live-action does not depict Genkai in combat, her influence on Yusuke and acknowledgment as a threat by Toguro solidify her standing as one of the most powerful humans in the series.
