Netflix's highly anticipated sci-fi drama, The 3 Body Problem, unveils its captivating first trailer at CES 2024 Brace yourself for an epic journey into a futuristic world filled with mystery and suspense Mark your calendars for March 21, when this mind-bending series hits Netflix

Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series, 3 Body Problem, which is based on Liu Cixin's popular Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy. The series explores the consequences of mankind facing an impending alien invasion. The trailer premiered at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and is now available for viewing online.

Alexander Woo, one of the creators of the show, stressed the team's commitment to translating the essence of Cixin's novels onto the screen. "Our goal is to convey the overall experience of the novel on screen, rather than getting every detail exactly right," Woo stated in an interview with Netflix's tudum.com. "We hope to preserve the sense of wonder and the vast scope of the story, where the problems extend beyond individual or national scales to encompass the entire human race." You can watch the trailer below.

Netflix has pleasantly surprised fans by releasing a character guide, which introduces the actors playing the roles in 3 Body Problem for the first time. The ensemble cast includes Jovan Adepo, John Bradley, Rosalind Chao, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, Benedict Wong, and Jonathan Pryce.

3 Body Problem also marks the return of Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to the drama series arena since the conclusion of their iconic HBO series in 2019.

The series, which takes place during a young woman's important decision in 1960s China, offers an engaging story that goes beyond time and place. As the fundamental laws of nature are revealed, a team of exceptional scientists teams up with a non-traditional detective to face a unique danger to human history.

3 Body Problem will debut globally on Netflix on March 21st.
