The world of Teyvat is made up of seven nations, each governed by an Archon and their respective divine beliefs. Currently, the game has introduced four of these major regions: Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru. As the Sumeru Archon storyline gradually reaches its conclusion, players can anticipate exploring another primary nation. The game's early story teasers have confirmed that Fontaine, a Hydro nation, will be the fifth region to be added to the game.

Over the past few months, there have been numerous rumors circulating about the upcoming content that will be introduced alongside the Hydro nation in Genshin Impact. One of the most well-known leakers in the Genshin Impact community, HutaoLover77, has recently shared another leak that provides additional details about a location called Fontaine. According to this leak, Fontaine will feature a unique twin city structure, which is a departure from HoYoverse's usual approach to world design, as the current four regions only have one main city each. These two cities in Fontaine will be in conflict with each other, and their design will draw inspiration from two beloved European capitals, London and Paris. Just like every other region in the game, Fontaine is also based on a real-life location, indicating that Genshin Impact will continue to follow this pattern in its world design.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the two cities in Genshin Impact version 3.7, as a leak has confirmed that their design will be influenced by the intriguing themes of steampunk and technology. Many players have expressed excitement about the Traveler's involvement in the conflict between the cities and are curious to see if resolving this conflict will be the main objective.
