A fresh trailer and visual for the second season of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy have been unveiled, creating excitement ahead of its highly anticipated premiere. The official website of the anime has released a preview for Season 2, featuring the talented voice actors Ai Kakuma as Hibiki Otonashi and Ami Koshimizu as Navarre Polar, along with additional cast details of the J.C. Staff-produced series.

The new cast of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy includes Yuji Murai as Woody Baila, Chiharu Sawashiro as Belda Nortst Limia, Nao Tamura as Chiya Hazuki, Ryohei Arai as Tomoki Iwahashi, Mai Nakahara as Lily Front Gritonia, and Sayumi Watabe as Guinevere Shlesha. Ami Tsukishiro and Natsue Sasamoto will voice Mora and Yukinatsu Kazusa, respectively. The announcement of the second season came after the finale of Season 1 in September 2021. C2C was responsible for producing the anime series' first season, which premiered in July of the same year.

Crunchyroll will be streaming the upcoming season. The plot of the Tsukimichi anime series is described as follows: "Makoto Misumi, an average teenager, is summoned to another world as a 'hero.' However, the goddess of this world deems him ugly and strips him of his hero status, banishing him to the far corners of the world. In the wastelands, he encounters dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and various other non-human races. Despite his challenging circumstances, Makoto exhibits potential in magic and combat, opportunities he never had in his former world. With numerous encounters ahead, can he survive in this new world? Prepare for a fantasy where a man left behind by both gods and humanity attempts to reset his life in this unfamiliar realm."

The anime adaptation of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy is based on the original light novel series written by Kei Azumi. Mitsuaki Matsumoto illustrated the book, and it was first serialized on the user-generated publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2012. In 2016, AlphaPolis acquired Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, which then moved to the AlphaPolis website. Additionally, AlphaPolis has published a manga adaptation of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy online since 2015, with artwork by Kotora Kino. The manga series is digitally published in English through Alpha Manga. Fans can look forward to the premiere of Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 on Crunchyroll in January 2024.
